To be honest I think most gooners will be patient if they can see progress happening.

I really do think progress is the key point. Take the bin dippers for example, they may not win a trophy this season but I'm pretty sure the fans are happy with the football they're seeing and you could definitely say they are competing. Still in the CL and competing with all but Man City in the league.

There is something building there.

I'd like to think as gooners that if we could see that kind of direction at our club and a new manager trying to implement changes to our style then he would get some patience from us

Of course you are right..... there will be a few AKB's out there like the walking club shop on fan tv saying "See I told you be careful what you wished for" the second something goes wrong but lets hope he is a minority when the time actually comes.

Look at Zidane, he's gone in straight at Real Madrid. Can you imagine him starting off in the French third division? It just wouldn't work.
Also, part of the reason Hoodle would have struggled maintaining the the English team manager as he was still the best midfielder at training. Apparently, he used to put Beckham to shame during set piece practices.
On this theme and given the state of our current squad maybe David Hillier would be a suitable replacement for Wenger.

He he, that's going back a bit! I think he 'helped' people at airports with their belongings but not necessarily in the conventional way......as the court appearance would suggest.

If the bloke is prepared to wait until 2023 when Lord C.untslop finally decides it's time to go (which obviously he's earned the right to do ) then who knows.....until then, another 'non story' of a manager linked with Arsenal. Average 'real' attendance at the bowl next season = 25,000 (half of which will be zzzz for most of the time). Why the f*ck do people still buy tickets to see Arsenal under Wenger?, they need sectioning just like him.
