As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Don’t read too much into it - we rested most of our players ahead of the youth up final and in the previous game with a full squad beat them 6-0.
No team should lose 9-0 though, accident, little bit unlucky with the 6th goal, referee desicions went against us, crowd were not up for it, played on an odd numbered day of the month - have I missed anything ?
Only the most important thing of all Stuart......good ol’ “special circumstances”.
Looks like Enrique. Odds widening considerably on all other candidates. Ancelotti now 25/1. Not convinced myself given his struggles at Roma and Celta Vigo, but I guess if he was decent enough to be appointed by Barcelona he must be reasonably competent.
Who ever comes in needs to hit the ground running or the banners and light show will begin
WE WANT OUR WENGER BACK
To be honest I am a bit unsure if I can continue to support the Arsenal I will have to wait to see where Arsene goes before I make up my mind but I voted for Allegri With pep .Maureen and Klopp in town its going to need someone who is managing or has managed one of the European elite, its not the time for PV4 or Arteta and some of the others on that list

Conte would also fit the bill
I'm pretty sure there will not be a clamour for TOF to return. Certainly no lights or banners
Have you got a get out clause in your Arsenal Fan contract or should I say Arsene Fan contract? Interesting
lets see though what a proper coach can do with Ramsay.
you have to remember these players have not been coached at all.
I would not be surprised to see big improvements in Ramsay, Holding and Chambers.
I agree Cech should go, and Wilshire.
Sell him I hope.
Agreed, a coach can’t teach a player to make the right decision. That comes with a good footballing brain.
By way of example, we where all over the spuds at home earlier in the season. But as anyone knows, one goal conceded by Arsenal usually means squeaky bum time these days. So what does Rambo do? Relentlessly try crazy flIck ons that have never worked in his career, as opposed to keep possession with a sensible pass.
A good coach can coach discipline and a system into any player. GG built superbly effective winning sides half populated with quite average players that he drilled discipline and systems into. Ramsey under Coleman is a totally different player for Wales than he is under Wenger for Arsenal. What a coach cannot do is turn an average or poor player into a world beater but they can certainly drill football discipline into any player to make them an effective cog in the overall team.
The odds on Loew becoming next manager have dropped to 4/1 I'm guessing some of our players (ze germans) are pushing hard for him from inside the club, but he will need to be a miracle worker to turn mustafi into a quality centre back, or to turn ozil into the type of player needed to be a success in england

I hope that isn’t a defence of Ramsey......I seem to remember making my feelings on that subject very clear quite some time ago !
I have changed my mind a few times (call me a flip flopper if you like ) about who I want as our next manager, but I am now 100% in favour of PV4 getting the job Everything I read about how he coaches and gets his team to play is what we need, and listening to him talking on this mornings Premier League World on sky sports, makes me believe that he is ideal for us - he spoke about the salary cap system in america and how it has made him more aware of the need to get the right players in cos replacing them isnt as easy, and straight away I thought about how the next manager of AFC might also be operating on a system where finances will be tight, and the experience of working like that would help.
I should also admit that part of my absolute commitment to PV4 is that I am so underwhelmed by the supposed main contenders for the job - I simply cannot believe that arteta is being seriously considered (which seems to be the case), and I dont really want enrique either. The 3rd guy in the running is ralf someoneoranother who I havent a club who he is, but the managers they should be looking at (allegri, conte, ancelotti, simeone) dont seem to be candidates at all
The next manager will have to be prepared to work on a restricted budget because that's the way KSE works. So it's unlikely that a high reputation candidate will come. We need a motivator. PV4 did it on the pitch. The board claim that they bought Wenger from obscurity, chances are they will do it again.

Sorry but who exactly from the club has told you this?
Yes I am being a tad facetious.... but it is still the case that all those names are nothing more than speculation from the lying morons in the media.
