As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
wherever he goes, he will not get the money he would need not to fail.
if he was smart he'd take an upstairs job - thank god they didn't offer him one with us - but I don't think his ego will allow that.
I think he'll end up in China or the Gulf for the money.
there's no way he would survive a season in The Championship even, let alone the PL.
its easy to say now but in hindsight he really did only survive so long because of the top 4 finish - which enabled him to get good enough players to keep repeating that.
I do sometimes wonder what would have happened if Henry had not scored that last day hat trick at Highbury back in 2006... and we ended up 5th.
I really don't think he would have got us back in the top 4 and he might well have left several years ago.

I think it was twofold - the board were happy with 4th and CL TV money, and the loyals kept the stadium full. the fact it was clear that we were too poor for 4th again, made a lot of STH's decide just not to go and that's what spooked the board in to action finally.
the optics of a half empty stadium are disastrous for commercial deals and to some extent even TV negotiations - when you've got Arsenal, City, West Ham and the spuds with thousands of empty seats it doesn't look good on TV, and although the TV companies might pay up initially, if they don't get the advertising revenue in, next go around they will lower their bids or back out.
I'm finally back! And good fucking riddance Wenger, so pleased with the news when it broke two weeks ago.
I read on Twitter last night that there's going to be a book in the Armoury in which fans can write out messages to Arsene before the game on Sunday... if anyone's bothering going, please stop by and feel free to vent as much as you like!

Not long now lads til he’s gone!
How will you celebrate after the Huddersfield game?
I will be drinking Champagne (ok prosecco) Tequila and pints of snakebite
Also I think this thread should remain as a locked stickie ??
Had a dreadful thought. The club recruit a manager who turns out to be so awful that they sack him by Christmas and bring back Wenger as an intrim manager, like Liverpool did with hodgeson and brought Dalglish back....
Anyone seen the puke inducing strips with messages from the players that are in the armoury? I read an article about it earlier but now can't find the link.
I really can't understand the love in for him now, through his own egotism and narcissism he has brought us to this lowly point but for some reason we are expected to give him this adulent send off for what achieved so long ago
