Fat Sam? Jesus Christ have a fucking word with yourselves ffs. I'm genuinely embarrassed for a couple of you.

I'd take Arteta over Fat Fuck Sam anyday. In fact I'd take Wenger back ahead of Fat Sam ffs. I'd take a dead fucking walrus ahead of Fat Fucking Sam and his abysmal record of spoofing his way into management jobs and then failing fucking miserably.
So your only choice left is Fat Sam or Moyes, who do you choose to manage us
Wenger :D
Be careful what you wish for :D

I'd take Fat Sam over Arteta.

people forget that Bolton played some good football under him with Djorkaeff, Jay Jay Okacha, Hierra, Campo, N'Gotty and Wilshire.

plus they were organized and hard to beat. he had our number - we won just 4 out of 12 games against them.

Plus it would be a massive fuck you to Wonga too
Has it really come to this? .
it has pretty much.

we were 6th, we have no CL football, a limited budget, a few deadweights and a bunch of very highly paid nancy boys.

a top four finish is going to be very tough. with no chance of a CL win why would any European heavy weights choose us ?

hence Arteta is now 3 to 1 ON to take the job, and Vieira turned us down.

I still dont get the thinking behind Arteta, all our rivals go for known names with at least some experience and some actual trophies to their names but our owners/board/CEO think we should go the complete opposite route.

Gazidis must know that this option will not go down well with a large portion of the fans, Sven and Raul are used to working with relatively big names and must also realise that an unknown is a huge gambit but yet all indicators seem to point to us going down this route.

It just doesn't make sense unless there really isn't the money available to meet the demands of the higher quality managers. We're a risk averse club and yet we are taking the biggest risk in recent years potentially appointing an unknown quantity and it could backfire spectacularly on the people implementing it :?
The thinking? - simple - a cheap gamble that may pay off with little risk if it doesn't, also fits well with the wiggy overlord because the c*nt has had a little early success with employing a young coach for the Rams?.

That is about it really, do I hope Arteta does well?, honestly I am past giving much of a f*ck these days, I treat the club with the same respect they treat us fans.

If they wanted an appointment to galvanise the fan base, this really isn't it, Mikel is going to have to work miracles to wake up most of the dozing Arsenal fan base in to bothering to turn up next season, I expect we'll see an early spike in full seats followed by a return to the late-Wenger half empty sterile bowl of apathy.

Football?... Whatever...

I would have taken a punt on Pellegrini ahead of Arteta, to be honest.

The highlighted bit is wrong, very wrong! This is a huge risk, not only for the team but the club as a whole and it could be very costly, for the people involved especially.

A couple of years ago somebody put gazidas email address up here - does anyone still have it and if so can they pm me please ? Wont make any difference to the clubs decision of course, but it will make me feel some bit better if I can let off a rant at the baldy american sleezebag :censored:

I dont think it will get him any praise from the media, and I know that it certainly wont get him any praise from the fans. Even the star newspaper are already mocking the decision to appoint arteta, and are suggesting that it might lead to an sos call to wenger by christmas - do you think that the media will give him a pass on this bizarre appointment, when all and sundry are already saying how ridiculous it is ? If/When this goes tits up, I think that the fans will unite to call for gazidas sacking and he will happily be thrown under the bus by kroenke
Augie mate I'm not saying it's a good appointment ,I want Arteta like I want chlamydia .
I wanted DB 10 (not our one) but I'm in a minority of 1 ,failing that I was up for Viera ,Jardim or even Allegri but I suspected Arteta was the one from the start ,I just didn't think Gazidis had the balls for such an appointment as I agree it could backfire on him.
Gazidis doesn't want praise he wants power and now has the license to exercise it . Right now he's swinging his big dick around like he's wanted to do for years but couldn't and this has clouded his decision making.

Arteta may surprise us and lets be honest we have the basis of a good squad and our defects are so glaring that I could do a better job than the previous incumbent ,(with our db 10 as assistant manager of course ).
The defense can be fixed or at least patched up and with a left back a goalkeeper and a decent holding midfielder , we would again be challenging for that all important virtual trophy or higher .
Almost anyone could add 15 points to this seasons meagre haul and that will get you into the chumps league ,Gazidis is acutely aware of this.
Arteta wont rock Ivans boat so he fits the bill for him perfectly .

Get ready for the reign of Ivan The Terrible you will be seeing a lot more of him and his opinions in the months and years to come ,he will make David Dein seem like a recluse !

oh and Kroenke gives zero shits about the fans or the football its just business !

Ralph Hasenhüttl has parted ways with RB Leipzig by mutual consent.

I'd take him at Arsenal!

Can we get Roy Keane & Souness, as joint managers?

About half an hour should do it.

Sort of a 'Year Zero', then we can rebuild.

We were linked with him a little over a year ago. Is Arteta the red herring for this sort of move? Get the fans all worked up on a no-mark and then come back with someone who we'd accept because everyone is scared that Arteta would get the nod?

I'd be interested to see what people would have said if he had been linked before the Arteta circus. I would imagine probably just about acceptable, but still there would be plenty (probably me included) who would have wanted a bigger name.

They finished 6th this year, 2 pts off the top 4.

Tbh so would I

Fat sam (b**tard  ) would clearly be a short term appointment, but one who would at least make us more organised and defensively better while he is at the club. Arteta will come in and try to play more wengerball which will of course lead to more ineptitude
You've got to be kidding me. Fat Sam?

I'd rather we gave it to Eboue.

I concur and a combination of Igor Stepanovas and Gus Ceaser as defensive coaches. Fuck it give the assistant managers job to Pascal Cygan.

Recruiting Arteta is bad enough but going to a manager who Everton has shown the door to, is pure desperation. There is a reason the national team has been shit for years, the quality of English managers for sure has declined over the last 20 years.
