Watched the England game last night on replay and I've got to say I'm not carried away by the result. Had Panama stuck to playing football and cut out the wrestling crap they would have got a better result. They created three very good goal scoring opportunities in the first half. I'm still not convinced by Pickford in goal, I don't like the way he leaves the goal open when he receives the ball inn open play, he's gonna get caught out if a player with great technical ability intercepts and takes a shot from 40 yards plus.
Saying that I think Belgium v England will be the game of the tournament, the best of the premier league together in one match. The pace of that game won't be matched by any other two countries as both team play at Premier League pace. England will win if Witsel and Boyata start for Belgium as they are well off the pace.
Only, Russia have been a surprise to me in this tournament so far, and its turning into a classic Word Cup. Certainly not missing the Dutch or Italians.

It's just a pity that the England v Belgium wasn't the first game of the group rather than the last. I think both side will introduce a few of the stiffs so we're not really going to see both sides truly going at it.

Not sure finishing top of the group leaves you in the best position to go deeper into the tournament either......

Germany were only marginally better in their second game than in their first. It still took a very very late Kroos wonder strike to grab the 3 points. They easily could have drawn or lost that game. I thought after the poor showing in the first game they would take off and hit form but they still look dodgy. There are rumours of rifts and cliques in the camp and a few of their heroes from 2014 are showing they have gotten leggy... Sami Khadira being the most obvious.

I still wouldn't bet against them hitting form though. They are still a top team with some top class players. And I wouldn't bet against Ozil either scoring or setting up a vital goal for them.

What really surprises me is the amount of mong Gooners that seem delighted Ozil was dropped as if that proves their ridiculous agenda that he is lazy and not world class. I would have thought a true Gooner would want ALL our players to have decent world cups so they could come back motivated and ready to go for the new season. But no, some idiots would rather hope their silly agenda gets brownie points on an Internet forum.

Liam Brady was hilarious and right on RTE last night. He said the ref was a joke and a disgrace for not sending off the Ladyboy for the elbow.
