I say go back to the old skool type, with squad numbers 1,2,3,4 etc etc.

I agree with you on that one.

Unfortunately players egos get in the way now. They either have to have a certain number or they can't play as well or they will get in a sulk if they are not 1-11 and get their agent to start touting round.

yeah player numbers have got stupid but we haven't quite got reached the silly numbers like 99 or 83 etc etc that they have in south america and eastern europe

With the news of Sagna's (supposed) iminent signing, maybe the reason Clichy was not promoted to 3 was the fact that it will be given to Sagna.

i do think that some of the squad numbers should be changed. its all because of the transfers in january. Diaby 2? Gallas 10!!? i would want that sorted out at least.

but then some people make numbers there own. gilberto 19 he OWNS that man!! and 25 seems to be a specific number for us with kanu and Ade (i think its because kanu was Ades idol.)

He can play anywhere across the back for so think it's highly likely unless he has a favourite number available.

The thing i like bout the numbers is that they don't change during the season so at least we no who'll play at the number 4 the season
