OFFICAL EURO 08 THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No nonsense, won the ball then gave it to someone more creative.

Are we linked with him yet?

On the contrary my Irish friend. As an honourary Englishman, I was cheering the Dutch on. Trust me, I am one happy bunny as it will now allow me to take the piss out of my Italian brother-in-law and Nephews who are forever taking the piss out of me for England's (and Arsenal's) failings. 8)

The Israeli commentator said sir Wenger was just behind them, commentating for French television.

I think I'm going to learn french just so i could listen to him talk for 90 minutes about football. It must be fascinating.

What a great game from Holland today, really enjoyed it 8) But how shit was the linesman? More brain-freezes than Theo

Looks like France might be past it as Augie suggested before the tournament started. I am quite sure that the last match between France and Italy will define who goes through between them two. Should be a great match and I can definitely see Italy winning it :o

If you're talking about the first goal, it was not offside because there was an italian defender behind the goal line. As he had not been told to leave the field by the ref he could come on again at any time, and was thus still considered active in the game.

Are they having a laugh, can refs never admit they make a mistake

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 445476.stm

Would he still be active in the play if he was in an ambluance on route to the hostpital, or mabye the subs warming up can play strikers on-side.

The racist *word censored*, that is the Spanish manager, didn't place Cesc at the XI.. What a joke? Do you he's keeping him for the other matches?
