You talk like you know the definitive answers and reasons to these loan deals falling through when you obviously can't unless you're part of the negotiating team on either side. Let's be honest, if you're basing your opinion on newspaper hacks then they're not much more in the know than you or I.augie wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 4:55 pmClummo99 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 4:12 pmMy understanding was the majority of those deals fell through because of player wages not by any desire for the club or manager to keep those players. Or am I remembering wrong?augie wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 3:08 pmmcdowell42 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 1:53 pmAh jesusAugie what does it matter as long as we do get rid of them.
Granted BUT, we are now hearing about how this transfer window is going to be all about getting rid instead of buying in, and if we had of got rid of them 12 months ago we could be further down the road to recovery and been in a position to buy players now when we really need them.
In other words we have just wasted 12 months
Xhaka had deal agreed and pep's cone boy convinced him to stay.
Other deals should have gone through with AFC subsidising the players wage at their new club - keeping an unwanted player on full wages, or paying half his wages to fcuk off elsewhere ..... it should be a no brainer
The point I'm trying to make (obviously not very well

I'm not digging you out Augie or trying to be awkward, I'm just debating. Playing devil's advocate if you will.
