Actually I suppose there is a better way in theory if your owner is prepared to just write money off like Abramovic and the Qataris but even that falls to shit when you have your funds restricted like dear old Roman. See how Chelsea have steadily declined without his bottomless pockets to dip into.

so our owner hasn't written down and accepted huge losses factoring in wages and fees on mustafi, ozil, mkhi, sokratis, kola et al?
Huge losses on those jokers?

A player is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Mkhitaryan and Kolasinac cost us no fee and Papa was 17m (hardly huge in today's game and we had our monies worth imo). We got good early value from Ozil but the French Fraud went mad with the new deal. Mustafi, hmm..... OK I'll give you that one.

You can't factor in past wages as that's payment for services gone.

Mkhitaryan, Kolasinac and Papa apparently had the remainder of their contracts cancelled so no money lost there.

Hardly comparable to Chelsea and City.

I think it depends on how you look at it, particularly with Mkhitaryan. We were offered £60m for Alexis in the last window before he run down his contract, which our board rejected in the hope that (a) we'd £60m more value out of him and (b) we might persuade him to change his mind.

When neither happened and we were left with a sulky brat, we then had to take what we could get.......and what we could get was the Man Ure cast off........on a long term deal on 180k per week. So there's a massive value to that transfer in my mind because we lost in exchange someone who was undoubtedly our best player of the previous 2-3 years and got a shitebag on mega wages

I agree with Kolasinac - he was actually ok for the first year and a bit, before eating all the pies so probably not a big loss there. Sokratis I also think has been good value for his fee over the 2 years or so, and I still maintain a better centre half than most of the other fuckwits we've played there

Mustafi - I think we're all agreed on that one

Its good to see us offload a load of players this window, but tinged with the disappointment of a single loan signing.

Still a squad that is painfully thin in some areas - right back and attacking midfield in particular

What a great collection of clips that was!

A £35m gift from the Great Economist to go alongside Perez, Chambers, Xhaka, Ozil, Cech, Elneny etc

Good riddance to the useless lump of shit. Inexplicably preferred by Arteta to Sokratis

Emery nearly got rid of the dross, Arteta actually got rid of them :barscarf:
100% Rodders, but I reckon if Dicko was still here then Ozil would still be making return after return to the team.
Emery was a spineless watery c u n t and would never have had the balls to deal with Ozil nor many of the others!
Must pain some on here to see it
Must be worried sick that Arteta might actually be on the verge of getting us back in the map.

Ain't he just.

In all honesty, Mustafi made me miss Squillaci.

Kudos to the person that spent the time putting those clips together. He probably got fed up doing it at some point cos that video could have a run time of 2 hours if he included all the mistakes!

Will never pain me to see any Arsenal manager leading us to glory me old mucker - huge slices of humble pie will be eaten with lashings of cream whenever that day comes.

Nice to see us borrow £100m from the Bank of England that the previous manager wasn't allowed to spend to pay off the lazy bug eyed arse and the collection of other c.unts. I'll settle for Arteta getting rid of this latest batch to carry on from "the spineless c.unt" getting shot of Wilshere, Adelaide, Akpom, Perez (cheers that €17m fee Arsene), Joel Campbell, Asano, Ospina, Ramsey, Koscielny, Welbeck, Jenkinson, Iwobi and Monreal....plus a couple of retirements too.

Still, i don't suppose that lot count

Anyway - lets hope that we're now only a few planks short of the ultimate deadwood end of season fire. Hell, I'll get round to even fixing up that BBQ if he gets rid of Greta Thunberg, Xhaka, Elneny and Willian !

The first-team squad is now down to a much more manageable 25 players having been at 31 players at one point during the transfer window. That’s a lot of shit flushed away in one month to be fair.

Another big push in the summer is now needed to excrete the rest of the dross out the gap.

We undoubtedly need to add quality to the squad in the summer but there’s no doubt it’s in a much healthier state than it was on January 1st.

Fuck me Stevo, my old chum
I will allow any body a bit of "artistic license" but to "credit" Dicko with getting shot if Koscielny, Jackie Wileshite and Ramsey?
Koscielny made it clear he wanted to leave, even refusing to go on a pre season tour.
Jackie pileofshite's contract had 1 month left and he was unable to agree a new one, so left on a free!
Ramsey? Was Emery not quoted as claiming "he wanted to build his team around" the injury prone show pony. But the club took a financial decision and the offer of a new contract was withdrawn
I could dispute others on that list, but I can't be arsed lad
Also, I wasn't referring to anyone in particular, when claiming some people would be at pains, I can't know what others actually think, if pushed I'd have you down as a "reluctant convert"

Exactly what I was thinking!

I love the one at 28 seconds where in the style of Xhakatard he just "passes" the ball straight into touch whilst under no pressure whatsoever. :D

Let's be honest, we have ALL been wanting rid of the Deadwood for fuckin'absoluteFuckin years haven't we...

This is the best clear out in a long Loooooooooong time.

All Arteta has to do now is ensure the likes of Pillock and AMN NEVER get the chance to return.
