Usual thread starter… well if we get this guy and retain cesc, we’ll have a choice of playmakers. Maybe a switch to a five man midfield could be in the offing. But anyhow, the squad is starting to look a bit stronger overall. Some players passed their peak or not up to the mark have been moved on, with a bit of young hunger replacing them. Let’s hope any newcomers can gel quickly with the existing players and give us a better start to the next campaign.

I have to say that if Modric really is going to B. Munich for 30 million Euros, that works out at around £20million, and I doubt Wenger would have paid that much for him anyway.
