Expect somersaulting Luka Modric in January (13/7)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Expect somersaulting Luka Modric in January (13/7)

Post by gooner.ed »

Usual thread starter… well if we get this guy and retain cesc, we’ll have a choice of playmakers. Maybe a switch to a five man midfield could be in the offing. But anyhow, the squad is starting to look a bit stronger overall. Some players passed their peak or not up to the mark have been moved on, with a bit of young hunger replacing them. Let’s hope any newcomers can gel quickly with the existing players and give us a better start to the next campaign.

Luca Modric

The reason AW likes to sign foreign players in the winter window was revealed when he signed Reyes. Apparently, he likes to give them 6 months to adapt to the country and the football so that they are ready for the following season.

Beat me to it, Glos! Anyway, Max - please don't die yet as you are making a valuable contribution to my knowledge and entertainment on this website and probably doing a lot too for international relations generally :D

Maxspeed,

Thanks for that information, our Croatian spy! 8) Good work! 8)

I have to say that if Modric really is going to B. Munich for 30 million Euros, that works out at around £20million, and I doubt Wenger would have paid that much for him anyway. :(
