Euros / Ingerland Hype

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I once went to see Bernard Manning live. One of the funniest nights of my life but he would have a lynch mob after him if he was performing nowadays.

Heres hoping ingerland get a real lesson in being swarthy cheating diving types from the masters of the art, although why anyone needs to dive at the speed of wopball i'll never know.

They'll be a nice sense of justice if one of the greasers goes over sterling's leg after "inviting contact", i wouldn't want to be sterling's Mrs. when he gets home if that happens.

I smell an Irishman, am I right?
Absolutely, although my current view is probably held by the vast majority of Europe and the UK bar ingerland itself obviously.

With Saka being the only gooner involved its quite easy for me to root for the wops, and when this

https://www.football365.com/news/opinio ... -euro-2020

is the sort of utter trash we can look forward to for years afterwards if they do win you could almost excuse the rest of europe for getting out their Italian colors.
I can't abide the English press myself but do you honestly believe that the Spanish, French, German and Portuguese newspapers were much different over recent times?

Have you seen how La Gazzetta dello Sport or Corriere dello Sport are covering this game in Italy?

Mancini's revolution is being hailed over there as the greatest thing ever. Moving away from the traditional negative style of Italian play is getting very positive press.

Don't doubt that they are as jingoistic as the English are.
No No i dont doubt it for a single second, not a single second.

The only reason im not moaning about the wops press is that i dont really have to tune into it for Arsenal news, for arguments sake i could go a lifetime without hearing whisper of any article published in the guido press.

Unfortunately if i want news of Arsenal, which i do, ive to trawl though the swamp of ingerland love that's out there at the moment, some of it reasonable, most of it utter utter guff and one of the main reasons people the world over have a severe dislike of the limeys.
The man dislikes a nation because he can't google "Arsenal news."

Do me a favour buddy, drop the xenophobic sounding terms "greaser" and "wop" etc huh? We have strict rules on here about that.

Does this site now condone casual racism. “Wops”.. Really? Is this what we have come to. Bang out of order. :censored:
Calm down.

No we don't condone it. I've asked him to stop. If he keeps it up he'll be treated like any of the previous posters that kept using racially insulting or xenophobic language after being asked to stop.

Everyone gets a chance on here.

That's the media the world over mate. When Oireland used to qualify for tournaments our media were as nauseatingly OTT as the English, Italian and Spanish.

You should all adopt my policy on integration and multiculturalism......hate everyone equally and you cant be any sort of 'ist' :barscarf: :barscarf:

That was a joke by the way, you know the things we used to be able to tell in this country not so long ago without everyone losing their shit

That's the problem for me on here. It's sometimes difficult to judge tone in the written word and tone is often the difference between racism and banter. What one person finds offensive is fine with another person.

A very basic example: "my mate is a Paddy from Dublin" is fine with most people.... "that Paddy bastard" is racism.

Some Irish people are OK with the term "Paddy", some are really offended by it.
