So basically we are going to massively over pay for ramsdale, going to massively over pay for odegaard, and still have shit options at right back and in the 8 position when the transfer window closes  :banghead: :banghead:

What pisses me off more than anything is all the celebrity ex players and superfans like Wright, Keown and fucking Piers Morgan who if they are so astute must be able to see there is something very wrong with our transfer dealings but for the sake of their club access keep schtum!

I know some clever fucker will talk about being careful not to commit slander or libel but there are ways around that, ffs Morgan has walked that line for decades in his day to day work.

These people imply that there is no end to their love for the club but in reality they are cowards who hide when things are going bad and have very gentle digs from the sidelines.

Our transfer dealings have been very 'odd' for nearly a decade now, failing miserably to get top targets, under selling players, struggling to offload unwanted players, last day trolley dashes and overpaying time and again either on loans or permanent transfers, the sickening thing is it is mainly pundits who despise us who point out how shit our deals are..... :cussing:
Is it a coincidence that that was around Kroneke took full control, in 2011, give or take.

I'd argue that we are crap at getting players from around 08 but we never actively went for the worst players possible.
I'd go back a little bit further to 2005. Wenger peaked and went into full narcasist megalomaniac mode by inexplicably breaking up the Invincibles and moving onto Project Youth.

With the exception of a few like Alexis and early Ozil most of our signings since have been no more than average+ at best.

It has got worse over the last 10 years though as our gradual demise is testament to.
Absolutely, as soon as the Chavs were bought out and bankrolled, he became obsessed with doing it his way, which meant penny-pinching in an effort to prove his point. He, in essence, sacrificed the club's potential success for his own vanity and ego.
Yep, how he was indulged and allowed to do that is sickening. We were in the best possible position that we could ever be to kick on and dominate for years but it was all scrapped in the name of vanity.
We did beat Leicester twice in the season they won the league and as far as I remember, the only reason we didn't win the league ourselves was because the other teams didn't bother or something. Thank God, we didn't take up Guardiola or Klopp on their expressions of interest ten years ago. Who needed them, eh?

Everytime we have had a transfer window since the french cock fcuked off my mantra has consistantly been that I am more interested in who we get rid of than who we sign ........ I have now changed my position. I dont want AFC to sell or loan even one more player (and yes I include xhaka in that) in this transfer window - it looks that whoever these c.unts sign is going to be no better than average and wont fill positions where we need to upgrade, so right now I would rather keep the shite players we have than bring in more shite players and piss money away that we cant afford to piss away. The pursuits of ramsdale, abraham and odegaard have been some of the lowest moments I have felt regarding my club in my life - over the years I have had low moments with a manager or with certain players, but all I am seeing right now is a pattern of trying to sign average/shite players and it reflects badly on the direction we are heading. Over the years we (and other clubs) have obviously bought a lot of shite players but there has always been one or two signings that give you the hope that we are on our way back, but it doesnt seem like that anymore

Inter are pushing to sign Denzel Dumfries from PSV. Talks opened for €12m bid - PSV want more as price tag, Everton are not progressing in negotiations for Dumfries since days. 🔵 #Inter #EFC

Dumfries is the priority for Inter as right back to replace Hakimi.

Not good news for getting rid of bellend

As per @gunnerblog, Arsenal have decided to pursue alternative goalkeeper targets after Sheffield United refused to lower their demands for Aaron Ramsdale.

Officials from both clubs met today but failed to find a breakthrough over the final fee. #AFC

The Athletic report Sheffield United’s Saudi Arabian owners’ starting position was to demand a fee of £35m for Ramsdale. For their part, #Arsenal hoped to pay around half that. https://t.co/wW4MY7cKal

For their part, Arsenal hoped to pay around half that [£35m] for Aaron Ramsdale. Over the course of the summer, Arsenal have had two formal bids rejected - on both offers, the guaranteed fee to Sheffield United was less than £20m. [@TheAthleticUK] #afc

You’re assuming he wants to join Arsenal… which for an ambitious player, isn’t exactly a no brainer these days :(

Can you shag a post, because I'm falling for this one?

Get the WBA goalkeeper for £10m to meet the HG quota. Also sign Onana for less than £10m Ajax want. Either offer to loan him back to Ajax so he can play upon his return from his ban/AFCON the. We can fuck Leno and Runnerson off next summer an have Onana ready for next season. Failing that, bring Onana here and have three goalkeepers to pick from when Onana can play, he will still go to Afcon so it won't matter for a year.

We should start acting like a club that wants to do things.

That’s true. We do offer silly wages… just ask Willian, Auba, Cedric, Runnarson and Ozil

I’d join Arsenal for free by the way.

Join for free ? yes . But what wages would you want. ?

It seems that this is what is the problem with Willock's move. He earns £20,000 a week at Arsenal and wants £ 75,000 like Shelvey

I'd want £75,000 a week just to look at that ugly cūnt Shelvey.
