We're going into the last 4 months of the season with two strikers - Lacazette and Nketiah

As things stand, we have Martinelli who could be our “internal solution “ at centre forward as well as Auba, Eddie and Laca. Not ideal but better than wasting money in January if we can’t get the right player.

If we went for anyone else, I thought we may go for the Czech - Patrick Schick at Leverkusen, he looked decent at the Euros if I remember rightly. 6ft 3", 18 goals in 17 matches in the Bundesliga this season. 26 yo so coming into his prime. About 40m?

He might've / could've been an interesting option. Haven't heard much about him in this window.

I don't see it like that. When Auba has played as the lone striker in this formation he's largely stunk the place out. He can't hold the ball up. Martinelli can't do it either and Eddie has proven endless times he can't

Yes they are all names on a squad list but not one of them is capable of playing lone striker. Unless he changes the formation somehow we've basically got Lacazette as the only option

Agreed mate, they’re all flawed options. Even Laca who simply isn’t a goal threat. A striker is by far our biggest need.

It’s a total mess but, up to now, I’m not seeing a striker who has been transferred in January that would have been a great signing for us? - Vlahovic maybe but that probably wasn’t ever a serious option. Who else has moved clubs? (There might be loads but my old brain has gone blank )

I absolutely love Auba, the best striker at the club since Thierry but he has acted the absolute fucking c.unt since the NLD when he was fucking around the streets in his Lambo and turned up late. Whatever about his dip in form since signing the contract it's from that day on that I've been done with him and this latest stunt of turning up in Barcelona to the surprise of both them and us is the final straw.
