So who do you want us to buy instead of Ramsdale ??? Seriously come on
ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Problem with that comment is that it suggests that fans are not allowed to criticise players even when it is merited - it is perceived on here that I am a huge leno fan, but the reality is that the last keeper we had that I was confident with was crazy jens (cue abuse from our midget mod

Anyway like I say, I feel fans should be entitled to air grievances at players rationally, and with that in mind I am still unsure of ramsdale and will say to you that his end to last season is what is freshest in fans minds, and he did not have a good end to last season and will need to kick on this coming season

Martinez has gone now...good luck to him...he showed hes a very good keepergooner265 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 9:20 pmRamsdale has also won two players of the season , we have the best keeper out the three imo.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 3:03 pmgooner265 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 2:52 pmHe started off ok but looked very shaky second half , a bit like Ramsdale.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 6:25 pm
Hasn't he been playing in front of fans at Villa then?? Despite what Augie says, he had a very good season there.
And yet the Villa supporters, who watch him week in, week out and not just 5 mins on MOTD, voted him their player of the season. You, Augie and I can have our different opinions, but I suspect the Villa fans are far more informed and that we should probably listen to their opinion.
It might also say a lot about the rest of their players.
As for Ramsdale, i like him.....yes as Retro says he is prone to shouting and high five stuff ...and is a bit manic...to be honest liked the Bob Wilson style brave, dependable, calm and assured
Ramsdale proved in the early stages of last season with several world class saves hes not too shaby either
As i say Martinez is gone get over it, now we have Ramsdale

In my opinion leno lacks that physical size and dominance needed in english football, BUT I do still believe that he was a safer and more consistent option than martinez who had one excellent spell in EIGHT SEASONS (he didnt set the world alight in any of his loan clubs either). Some fans point to his poty award at villa as proof that he is a quality keeper, but history has shown us that being a good keeper for mid level clubs like stoke (ben foster) or coventry (kirkland) or watford (david james) does not mean that you are a good enough keeper for top clubs cos there are intangibles like mental concentration etc that only come into play at bigger clubs
Anyway like I say, I feel fans should be entitled to air grievances at players rationally, and with that in mind I am still unsure of ramsdale and will say to you that his end to last season is what is freshest in fans minds, and he did not have a good end to last season and will need to kick on this coming season

The attention seeking cùnt Lehmann cost us two champions league trophies exactly because he was not the type of steady calm keeper that inspires confidence. He was a fucking moron.

If not charging out of his box completely unnecessarily to give the chav the win and the whores the win in the CL, or making a complete tool of himself with shitbags like Dogbreath, he was trying his best to fuck the Invincibles season (at of all places the Swamp ffs

I will never forgive this idiotic cùnt for costing Bergkamp his rightful CL medal and being one of the main reasons the fucking chav were the first London team to win the CL. We should have had two in the bag long before they got near it and we would have only for the moron Lehmann.

Growing belief now that Arsenal and City will strike a deal over Zinchenko. Nothing agreed yet, but discussions over a fee are ongoing and moving in the right direction. All parties working towards getting the deal done. Talks are going well.

Not sure about Zinchenko tbh. What role are we signing him for? He's not much use as a left back but would be an OK back up maybe.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 10:20 amGrowing belief now that Arsenal and City will strike a deal over Zinchenko. In midfield he would be a huge improvement on Clive - a puddle of infected piss would be a huge improvement on Sir Pointsalot - but I believe he is more of an attacking midfielder rather than a defensive one, which is what we need.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Thought he was excellent in midfield in their play off win against the Scots last month and think he's being signed to primarily play in that position for us with the option to fill in for Tierney at LB when he inevitability gets crocked after 2 games.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
As I said above my understanding is he eants to play in midfield, looked good for Ukraine there but can double up as a back up for KT as well. It would mean Clive being ousted so im all for it.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 10:41 amNot sure about Zinchenko tbh. What role are we signing him for? Chelsea have signed another talent for the future. After Zak Sturge deal, Chelsea will soon announce Omari Hutchinson as new signing - he’s set to leave Arsenal.
#CFC
Talks collapsed with #AFC on new deal, Hutchinson will join Chelsea as @TheSecretScout_ reports. It’s done. https://t.co/XJn3X2PJWx

Have to agree with that. Anything that shoves Clive out the door is a good thing for Arsenal. He has plenty of PL experience too so no prolonged "getting up to the pace of the PL" settling in period required either. Deffo worth a punt.gooner265 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 11:21 amAs I said above my understanding is he eants to play in midfield, looked good for Ukraine there but can double up as a back up for KT as well. Arsenal’s move for Oleksandr Zinchenko has ‘accelerated’ very quickly in the last 24 hours or so. [@Teamnewsandtix] #afc
