Augie - I'm just hoping that 'Xhaka' is the new Candyman and if I say it often enough he'll fuck off!!! :D :barscarf:

Ok so we have number 9 who you don’t rate , Eddie is the cover .

We have cover for Tierney and the same player can play possibly in the position Xhaka has .

So if we get Tielmans or the other bloke as far as I am concerned most of the weaker areas are dealt with .

As it stands Bellerin is back , so there is a better stand in at right back than Cedric .

I've said it before on here, but I can't understand how people seem to think that every signing we make signals the end of Clubfoot Xhaka.

Firstly, we don't seem to have signed a proper centre mid, let alone a holding type. I don't know much about Vieira, but from what I can make out, he's another number 10 type and if Zinchenko plays in midfield, wasn't he on the left at City...don't remember him centrally?

Most importantly, for Xhaka to be replaced, the manager would need to want to replace him and there's seems to be zero evidence for that. Quite the opposite in fact. I've no doubt, as I've said before, that he'll be bumbling about in midfield, putting us in all sorts of trouble as usual, on the opening day of the season. Don't delude yourselves, we all want him gone, but Arteta sees him as a vital element in the side and he'll be the first midfield name on the sheet. It's why I'd sack the cone man tomorrow.

By the way, despite all those that think this has been and will be a successful transfer window, I agree with Augie that other than bringing in Jesus (who I'm not at all convinced by, but we'll see), there has been no material improvement where it matters and certainly nothing to make me think we'll challenge those above us. However, I'd love us to land another one or two that Arteta is after, so that this will be well and truly his team (which it actually already is) and he has no room for excuses re squad numbers and ability. He's spent bundles since he took over and we've not progressed at all...league positions prove it. So, if we don't get 4th, which we won't, then he needs to be gone. Personally, I'd be reviewing him very closely in Oct/Nov and if we're still an incoherant, unreliable mess, he'd be gone.

This is what all on here and everyone else doesn't understand. Does Arteta see something in him that we don't?
Is it perhaps because none of us have been 30 years in football management? Or is it (most likely option) that Xhaka has a video of Arteta fucking a goat ?

🚨 Oleksandr Zinchenko has left Manchester City’s pre-season camp in Houston, Texas & is travelling to Orlando to undergo a medical as he closes in on a move to Arsenal. [@gunnerblog] #afc https://t.co/oTSLZ3Sg6B

🚨 Arsenal technical director Edu is also scheduled to arrive in Orlando today to help finalise the deal for Oleksandr Zinchenko. [@gunnerblog] #afc

:rubchin: Hmmm, you know, yes, I think that must be it.

Mind you, he must also have a video of Wenger, Emery and Freddy. I suspect the one of Emery was maybe only heavy foreplay with the goat, something Dick felt he might be able to explain away, because he was at least about to out the useless prat.

.@David_Ornstein on Tielemans: “The key decision makers at Arsenal are essentially all in on him. When you talk to people around this situation, they make clear there may need to be a departure first for Tielemans to come in.” [@TheAthleticUK] #afc

Which is funny cos the transfer guys on sky sports news are stating that the club are intent on making a big name signing for the right wing as soon as zinchenko deal is done - they said that the club have committed financially to doing it, and it is still gonna happen even though it isnt going to be raphina

Lads it doesn't really matter who we sign this or any window as long as the Basel bulge remains at the club  That fanny will cost us between 10-15 pts again as he did last season..That's too many points to piss away,it's like starting -15 on the handicap.

Clive's a caaaant and will fuck any chances of us winning anything as long as he is part of THE Arsenal.

..............Anyhoo!

Source BBC Sport:

Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji but the 27-year-old Switzerland international would prefer to join Manchester United this summer. (Express)

:banghead:

Fuck him then... If a player says they either don't want to play for us or would prefer to go to another club, then just FUCK The Fuck-OFF.... You are NOT Wanted here so FUCK-OFF! Ya Caaaant. :box: :D

Youri Tielemans remains a target for Arsenal with Mikel Arteta the main driving force behind the move, but have still not made their play & are not in any rush. Tielemans is understood to even be reluctant to sign an extension if he does not move this summer. [@JPercyTelegraph]

Think it's interesting that 2 City players have joined The Arsenal, leaving a project that's probably matured to one that is maturing.
