Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Eh??? So now he's a fucking winger??
He doesn't score goals....don't worry he's not a striker, he's been bought to replace Xhaka.
Replace Xhaka you say, don't we already have quality players to do that?.....don't worry, he's been bought as cover for Saka.
Ffs. We'll soon be hearing that in training he sometimes goes in goal, so he's been brought in as cover for Ramsdale.
Hmmm, mind you....

So annoyed with this Havertz signing- have had Chelsea fans at work taking the piss all day.
This guy is a proven FLOP and we have just spent £65m on him whilst we can’t stump up the money for Rice???

I don’t see him as a starter. But then again this season we will have to rotate as we have seen two seasons in a row that flogging the same 11 sees them blow up at the end of the season. Just let Arteta get on it with it would be my advice. He will play more than his fair share of games.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
im not trying to justify it as I have the same misgivings as you over Havertz, I know he has played there before though and states himself as a midfielder who makes late runs in the box. Something ESR is very good at which is why I want to see him as the 8 by the way. It is a fact Arteta has been training him in that position and has stated he isnt going anywhereaugie wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 3:52 pmgooner265 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 2:44 pmThink havertz is replacing clive not a striker , Eddie has also been made available to clubs so a striker may be incoming.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 2:34 pm
Don’t worry TeeCee, we’ll sign him. Arsenal will sign Havertz and Rice just to piss me off, while the chavs sign Nkunku and Caicedo and probably for less money.
I’ve no doubt that Nkunku will score far more goals than Havertz and that Caicedo will be a bigger success than bang average Rice.
I’m gutted. Fuck knows how they work out our transfer plans. As IW8 said, signing Havertz is evidence that Arteta thinks Jesus is good enough as our centre forward.
Again are you just pulling that out of your arse or what are you basing that on ?? People come out with unsubstantiated shit sometimes to justify a signing cos they know that nothing in the players history suggests that he will ever be a top striker. Last month I read a lot of bu!!shit comments about how arteta is a fan of smith-rowe and is planning on playing him in the swiss turds position - again absolutely nothing to back up this drivel, but a lame effort to defend the clueless manager. Fans know that the majority desperately want the swiss turd gone so are using him as the lightening rod all the time - appease the smith rowe fans with rumours suggesting he is replacing xhaka, quieten the havertz dissenters by suggesting that he is being signed to replace xhaka![]()
Its all bu!!shit and our manager and edu are clueless
Sadly the majority dont want Xhaka gone at all and amazingly worship him now .

How many do we reckon he’ll score this coming season?

You didn't touch a nerve back then or now. Clearly chief Mod thought otherwise. And if you'd like to repeat what you said all those years ago on that thread I am all ears.the playing mantis wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 3:13 pmTouched a nerve?!nut flush gooner wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 1:17 pmYou also made loads of comments on another thread in another section of the forum, that are now being found out to be completely incorrect. Brexit thread?
Found out as completely incorrect..OK...good luck with that one cause and effect happy to see proof. Way to defect and derail.
But this is transfer thread. So not bothering with you on that, but don't call other posters as racist/report to the mods as suspect you do, when it's patently not.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
FFS Augie, you've got such a hard on for hating this guy no-one else can have an opinion? I didn't say he would bang in goals for us, I said i think he will be a good player for us.......and I think playing in midfield (because he will replace Xhaka), he'll chip in with 7 to 15 goals a season in my opinion.so wtf is giving you this belief that he will bang in goals for us ??
He's just turned 24 yo and has 37 caps for a top european team, he has a ratio of over 42% goals or assists during his whole career so far, so almost a goal or an assist every other game. I'd say that was pretty good for a midfielder, and he was a midfielder in Germany most of the time, it's the Chavs who played him up front and surprise surprise it didn't work.

And we all know xhaka is staying.
