WE need Martins Obafemi

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The only english player and I actually wish we didn't sell him now is Jermaine Pennant i don't know if you saw him in champo league final but he was one of the best players.

Yes hi is fast and can score. Hi is way better than The Biatch

About players leaving to Nation Games, dude why dont we sign some Kosovar Albanian playesr they will never go away because we dont have state yet, and UN start extending negotiations for another year each year, we might never get the independence and the right to play in International Tournaments.
And i really have seen a lot of great young players here around, and when we give the word (commitment) about something we day before we breake it. 8)

Sure he is quick, and fires bullets from his left foot, but remember how long it took him to settle into Newcastle and how newcastle fans slated him for a decent while ...

The england-based players I would go for:
Kevin Nolan
James Beatty
Marlon Harewood

physically tough and tall folks who give defenders hell ... even if just to create opportunities for other strikers. Will also provide targets to aim for when plan-a doesnt work for arsenal.
I'm off to bed now, clearly I haven't had enough sleep.

I just thought I saw a post suggesting Nolan, Beattie or Harewood would be good for Arsenal! I know, bet you think i must have been drinking.

Good nights sleep and i'm sure i'll find out it was just a dream unless TS starts planting posts.....

Chopper you're taking too much of something or you're not taking enough of what you should be.

:?

I wouldn't mind seeing those players here either though. Isn't Harewood being talked about as leaving West Ham right now for Villa? Surely we could outbid Villa. Couldn't we?

Nice one RaM ... thx for the support and being open-minded ... u just watch harewood blossom under Martin Allen ... and if you check it, each of those players are hard-workers through-out a match. Beatty is a bit of a puzzle b/c one expected so much from him, but I still reckon with the right management and team, they would blossom.

I do appreciate the resistance from all you other guys because these are not (on the surface) the sort of players arsenal would buy in this AW era.

Always willing to support the underdog. :)

Forgot to mention though that Beattie wouldn't exactly be my first choice (he's ok though) and that I haven't seen too much of Harewood playing. (Only against us, and I wasn't exactly watching him astutely - having to go without sleep to watch matches means I can only do it for the Gunners games, otherwise I'd collapse, asleep, in the middle of the day. :D ) (Highlights on monday nights here just don't do all the matches the justice that can be given from watching the whole match)

Kevin Nolan seems a great player. But would he fit in our team?

And also, for anyone doubting my sanity and the changing of stances in this thread, I blame transfer marketitis, and how I am itching for a transfer, so any news has me thinking up hundreds of possibilities with that player playing for us.

Mental, I know.... :?
