I just don’t get playing matches around the world at all.

Have a look at the photos promoting Red membership on arsenal.com who I saw at a recent game with a coach load or two just like them. https://www.arsenal.com/membership/red These are people who are paying an arm and a leg to fly halfway around the world to watch Arsenal. Probably spending hundreds at The Armoury. Now imagine 60,000 in a stadium in Beijing/California/Dubai paying top dollar for tickets and buying shedloads of merchandise. Sure beats what I have paid on average for each game down the years. Even including the pre-match beers. It’s all about money, money, money. Still at least I will save £50+ not buying a membership next season after not getting a ticket from a dozen ballot applications. Should pay for a couple of trips to Orient.

A Premier League, La Liga, Serie A or Ligue 1 match could be played in the United States soon.

I can't see how this will happen in the Premier League. They know they're on thin ice in terms of decisions and supporter consolation and arranging a league fixture overseas will cause another rebellion. This is all geared towards a couple of Spanish and Italian clubs wanting to raise a bit of money by playing a 'home' game in New York, Los Angeles or China or wherever.
