Modern Football Bol**cks

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I just don’t get playing matches around the world at all.
Have a look at the photos promoting Red membership on arsenal.com who I saw at a recent game with a coach load or two just like them. https://www.arsenal.com/membership/red These are people who are paying an arm and a leg to fly halfway around the world to watch Arsenal. Probably spending hundreds at The Armoury. Now imagine 60,000 in a stadium in Beijing/California/Dubai paying top dollar for tickets and buying shedloads of merchandise. Sure beats what I have paid on average for each game down the years. Even including the pre-match beers. It’s all about money, money, money. Still at least I will save £50+ not buying a membership next season after not getting a ticket from a dozen ballot applications. Should pay for a couple of trips to Orient.

The never ending Stupid Teeth Finally Fucks Off rolling love in from the victims is just getting embarrassing now.

It was excruciating enough when he wore the red hoodie with "thank you" written on it above a heart shaped picture of the Kop.

Now they've had a fucking cringe inducing "night with Football Bono" type thing hosted by John "I was briefly amusing for a short while about ten years ago" Bishop.....

in a fucking Heartbeat. :?
Absolutely, in a flash! I still remember my first experience in the School Boys enclosure back in the early and late 80's, watching Rix, Brady and later Sansom, and Et.all!!! Entrance for 90p and 10p for a bag of peanuts at half-time and free programme from the guys in the East Stand.

Happy days!!!!

ITV are actually providing more coverage of the build up and match of the soccer aid crap than they did for the FA Cup final

It's also a growing trend with the broadcasters.

Both TnT and Sly now have longer build up than the actual match itself :fryingpan:

🚨 FIFA are set to accept a new law that will allow leagues to play at least one match in their League campaign ABROAD! 🌎

A Premier League, La Liga, Serie A or Ligue 1 match could be played in the United States soon. 🤯🇺🇸

(Source: @lequipe)

That may be me done with the game.

I can't see how this will happen in the Premier League. They know they're on thin ice in terms of decisions and supporter consolation and arranging a league fixture overseas will cause another rebellion. This is all geared towards a couple of Spanish and Italian clubs wanting to raise a bit of money by playing a 'home' game in New York, Los Angeles or China or wherever.
