Modern Football Bol**cks

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

From a while back at the CL final but regularly pops up on Twatter about the state of punditry

Actually makes me angry that he's given a platform to spout such shite

https://x.com/luketaylortcd/status/1797188153322635522
If ever we needed proof that drugs are bad for you.

*cough* allegedly etc.

Pig Lips is one of the thickest inarticulate fucking mongs to be given punditry work. :censored:

Also fucking around behind your dying wife's back is also bad. #justsaying
We need a shite pundits thread where we can call out these c.unts on a weekly basis.

Andros Townsend on co-commentator duties is so woefully bad it's actually funny. It's like he forgets his punditry training and starts waffling on and gets faster and faster.

Who on God's earth thinks it's a good idea to employ these mongs?

"Punditry training"???!!

It would be much easier (and a shorter thread tower) to start a "Decent pundits" thread.
There aren'y any... and now we've got the high-pitched screeching women doing Punditry on "Mens" Football .... Just when we thought it couldn't get worse ....

you've got eniola aluko who ticks all the pc boxes: black, a dwarf and an LGBT&Q supporter and so has a job for life ... karen carney who seriously knows fuck all and just repeats sound bites she has heard some male pundits use, then there's fara williams who has a voice that could cut through concrete who again knows absolutely fuckin' Nada about the game... and then there's Alex Scott the loved up lezza media darling who again talks utter bollox....and of course lianne sanderson who looks like a skinned from the 1970's terraces and is more bloke than 99% of the male pundits...

I think this says it all:

"Where's The Bloke darlin?"

It’s diversity innit fam :barscarf:

Why is the gooner website itself just chockers with women’s football, I mean I know it’s the Arsenal ladies team and all but I couldn’t care less. There’s obviously a market for it though or it wouldn’t be there in the first place
The market is tiny. Its the modern phenomenon of the minority controlling the majority through guilt tripping and virtue signaling. No real actual true football fan has any real interest in the shit women's version of the game. Some have family members that play so have to pretend they like it but mostly it's the piss weak modern "man" afraid to upset anyone and just say it as it is.

But it's still a tiny minority. You ask them to pay full price for tickets in a 60 thousand seater stadium every second week and you will see a 60 thousand seater stadium with 59 thousand empty seats every game. Now ask them to pay upfront for 19 games in that stadium and you'll see an empty stadium. That's the reality.

And a good half of that thousand consists of school children who were pressed ganged into going to the stadium.

To be honest, I’d consider giving it a go on the condition they play the Benny Hill theme on the loudspeaker for the duration of the game. I could always used a good laugh.

The HAS to be a video somewhere on YouTube with that. HAS TO BE.
Well Yes and No....

At lunchtime today I happened to pop along to the local Sainsbury’s and for some strange reason I ended up perusing the newspaper display, which is odd as I never read an actual printed newspaper.... :rubchin:

And what do I find in amongst the daily rags.... Women's Football News

I kid you not, for 3 quid you can buy an actual printed zine, that looks a bit like one of those old weekly papers. It probably has drawings like Hotshot Hamish, as they probably needed to fill it with something, maybe Lezzerball Linda  :D

I was actually surprised by the number of pages as it appeared quite thick, but having thought about it, it was probably full of advertisements for Tampax, cosmetics, shoes and handbags. :rubchin: And vibrators for the lezzers   mustn't forget something for the lezzers..

I assume there must be a minimum print run of 50 or something, cos it didn't look like they had sold many

Didn't want to linger long in case someone I know saw me looking

Bordeaux have filed for bankruptcy and will abandon their professional status, which they have held since 1937.

When the removal trucks are loaded up and are pulling away, will the staff and players be singing "My old man said follow du vin"?

I bet the Chairman will be complaining about the bankruptcy proceedings.....sour grapes no doubt.

As they've been in money trouble, I'm wondering how they've been paying for transfers and wages....money changing hands under decanter perhaps?
