Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

After years of threatening to do it I finally decided to take the whole summer off Arsenal and football in general. I was completely burned out from the last few seasons and just couldn’t keep going at it 24/7.

The euros was 10 minutes here and there for the group stages and it was so shit I packed in watching it altogether and saw none of the games once it reached the knock out stage.

I didn’t see a single second of our pre season and coupled with staying off here not losing my shit at the prospect of signing players we never had any intention of signing in the first place I’m absolutely raring to go now for the new season.

I took a 3 month break from my lover, stayed celibate and now I’m ready to fuck her brains out again for the next 10 months.

COME ONNNNNNNNN :barscarf:

Everton dicked on the opening day, delightful. Without the safety net of the skid mark 3 here’s hoping they finally go this season.

I’d never heard who replaced corpse Moyes but saw him being interviewed before the game today and he gives off serious sacked by November energy. They’re gash.

He’s the guy that was at Wolves and went out under a cloud.

At the shammers ? That's the guy that left wolves just before last season started, and the same guy that was spain coach a few years ago and agreed a contract with real madrid just before the world cup to be their new manager after world cup, and the spanish fa got pissed off and sacked him straight away 8) 8)

Tbf I looked at their squad and they have a decent squad - todibo, ward-prowse, wan-bassake, fulkrug and summerville all on their bench today, and most would start in a lot of premier league teams

Last season’s 3 were so shit it kind of masked how bad those around them were so hit could be right about Forest. You’d have to imagine Ipswich are nailed on, hopefully the other 2 spots won’t a foregone conclusion like they were last year.

Maybe I’m doing him a disservice Augster. U just flicked on the channel and he was being interviewed before the game. I hadn’t a fucking clue who he was and then it flashed up on the screen that he was their manager. I’d actually forgotten corpse Moyes had fucked off. Just from the 2 or 3 minute interview I got sacked in the morning vibes and then I watched them stink the place out for 45 mins which gave me confirmation bias.

Big Poppa willing to give him the benefit given the pedigree you’ve outlined.
