There didn’t appear to be many clubs in for him. Would I rather him than Viera, most definitely yes.DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 7:20 amHey mate, rather than just digging out other posters with sarcasm, why not offer a counter argument? Are you not concerned that these poor to average quality players are being retained? Especially after a genuine baller like Smith-Rowe has been all but given away? I know I am.EC1 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 7:34 pmYes of course Arteta has no interest in winning, he prefers to have a team of players that he likes and enjoys the company of.
He has no winning mentality, playing for Rangers, PSV, Everton and Arsenal that takes nothing, just going through the motions.
Some talk like it’s so easy, blah blah blah and hey presto.
Now days PSR can’t be ignored, and that plays a part in decisions being made.
By average players I assume you mean Eddie, Nelson, Viera and Zinchenko and I can’t dispute any of those.
Maybe we are going to see one or two of the younger players getting game time, like Nwaneri.
Buying and selling players can be difficult and paying fringe players £100k per week makes it’s problematic selling.
I can’t understand how the club can pay a player £100k and he hardly kicks a ball.
