Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Here is a question which might be relevant to ramsdale scenario -
If we sell him will the club have to pay up the remainder of his contract ?
I'd imagine the answer is yes cos to my knowledge the player hasnt put in transfer request, but if that is the case then it really compounds the absolute clusterfuck of a transfer strategy these two clowns are using - bought the guy for £28m and two seasons later decide that he isnt good enough and demands another keeper which means that it is yet another player whose contract will have to be paid up to get him off the books
It is one thing to request that the club pays off the likes of ozil and auba to get them out the door cos they were not cone boy signings, but ramsdale (and tavares and sambi etc) are players that the cone boy said he wanted and has committed club money to, only to then decide within two years that he no longer wants them and the club are writing off more money
Our transfer stupidity is not even in same galaxy as the chavs (the most ridiculous club ever), but somewhere along the line someone in the club is gonna have to pull the cone boy and edu to one side and tell them that there will be no more signing players and two years later paying them off to leave cos we are not an oil nation funded club and cant afford to piss money away like this.
Right now if ramsdale doesnt want or ask to leave, then I would be keeping him as back up and telling cone boy "this is your mess so you can live with it"

Arsenal received £2M this summer because Bernd Leno and Fulham avoided relegation again.

It is believed that all of his add-ons have now been completed.

Maybe you have to top up their new one of its the only way they will move if the buyer can't afford the players demands.
The only thing transfer requests relate to are loyalty bonuses potentially. If they exist.

Is it the spraying of the hose you mentioned a few months back?!
Hope it's not sterling...he's ok on and off and would have him on a free but not someone to waste transfer and big wages on.
Gungodan maybe always did well for city and could very useful unless his legs gone.
Raphina no real idea didn't wow me at Leeds buys mist have some a ility if barca signed him although he looks like a scumbag so rather someone else. But then bit unfair to judge him on his favela gangsta looks.

The wage some of the bloggers steal...look at this for insight from gunnerblog on x:
Arsenal are mindful of the need to adhere to PSR regulations, ensuring they meet the criteria now but also keeping flexibility around their spending potential in the future. Balancing incoming with outgoings is the optimal way to achieve that
No fucking shit. Here I was thinking the way to balance the books was just splurge on outgoings and not give a fck about income. And that we would just ignore PSR and take our points deduction.
Must have taken him an he to come up with such insight.

"I can see a man, he's aged between 20 and 30. He's kicking something, is it round? Yes, it's round. It could be a football. My crystal ball tells me he could be moving somewhere. Yes, I can see a man, a football and a move. I can see a footballer moving. He's going to move at some point between 1st July and 31st August or between 1st January and 1st February. He'll move to a club with a name and the words football club after it. Yes, it's all clear now. This man plays football and is moving at some stage to another place that plays football. He comes from a place where they have leagues for football and at the moment he plays for a team that wears shirts with numbers and shorts and will definitely be moving to a team in a place that plays football in a league system and who wear shirts with numbers and shorts. I can't say any more at this stage but it's definitely happening soon. Possibly in the next few hours/days/weeks/months/years. Just paper work holding it all up and agreeing the payment structure. As I say, can't say too much right now but you can read more of my transfer insights by paying for the premium service. Just £10.99 a month straight to your inbox once evert two years."

Tbf and I'm no fan or not of his but can you give us some examples of the ones he's got wrong ? He seemingly only commits once it's nailed on from my memory and widely reported by others so not really a itk??DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 11:52 ammcdowell42 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 9:54 amDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 9:51 amOrnstein?Ffs lads get a grip.

I told you we will sign Merino. We will.
I told you PL clubs wanted Nketiah. They do.
The latest I have been told is that if we get some dross out then something big could come in.

Bu11shit - if a club signs a contract with the player then they are legally bound to that contract, so if it is a 4 years contract at 50k per week, then that is exactly what the club must pay UNLESS the player asks to leave/break his contract

Ok whatever augie. If you think you know why ask?!
I'm 99%sure your compleltey wrong as its nonsensical.
People mention wage savings getting them off the wage bill etc when selling players. If your belief holds then that's bllx as you say the selling club has to pay up what's outstanding. I cannot believe I any world that correct.
Edit. to add wages are stumbling block for many deals. If the seller was obliged to pay up his contract then why would that ever be the case?? In your world the player is having his cake and eating it if thrbold club had to pay him the rest of his contract.
Nonsense I'm afraid augie.
