I think Eze faltters to deceive. I'd take Coman on loan if we can't get Williams.
Coman has no end product at all. The only signing worse than him, that is at least feasible, would be Leroy Sane.

Here’s a thought. Eddie +£20m for Eze.

We lose Eddie’s £120k a week and pay it to Eze instead, as there’s no way he is on half of that at Palace. Win win.

They get a striker who’s better than Edouard, and we get an excellent attacking option without breaking the bank.

Simple, no?
Good call KR.... But will they do it?

From what I have seen of Eze he is several levels up from the feather; greater striker of the ball and has pace & can beat his man, but did have a spate of injuries last season.

What I'd give to have a Time Machine and go back and sign Ian Wright (Wright ! Wright!) in his Peak!

I would then bet my fucking house on us winning the Prem...

Silly I know, but one cannot help but Dream. :? :goingtobed:

As unpopular as it might be on here, the striker I’d choose from the last 30 years to put into this side is RVP.

I'd choose anelka - without a shadow of a doubt he would have been the best striker in the game had he not come from such a fcuked up family and allowed his brothers to screw up his career
To this day I have no idea why we didn't try to sign him after Henry left. Anelka was at Bolton at the time. Unless it was a bad blood thing as/after he left us for Real Madrid then I simply don't understand it.

Anelka would have been the ideal Henry replacement back then.
I remember a story at the time that his brother and his cousin were spotted in several Islington watering holes and restaurants bragging about how they got one over on the club and David Dein in particular. Not being an ITK bullshitter I cannot say that was actually what happened but it was the story at the time and it might be why he wasn't re-signed by the club? Such a waste of a great player.

I recall TOF saying that he had always hoped that TH14 and Anelka could play together.... They would have DESTROYED the opposition.

With regards Anelka wasn't his brother also his agent and it was he who persuaded him to leave Arsenal by telling him how much more money he would get; signing on fee (of which being his agent he got his 25%) etc

Anelka went downhill after he left us and to think he could have been an Arsenal 'Legend'.

Anelka has openly admitted he wished he never left in hindsight

Yeah, Claude and Didier were his brothers with Claude being the one who seemed to be in charge as an 'agent' or 'advisor' or whatever the fuck was going on. There were stories of the two of them flying around Europe in the spring and summer of 1999 turning up unannounced at different clubs ready to promise them their brother would sign for them as long as they paid him whatever crazy amount a week. Their routine was apparently along the lines of 'if you want him, here's the money he wants and we want and we'll make the transfer happen'. Their thing was that they would guarantee he'd sign by forcing us to sell him by making him go on strike.
From what I read a few years back, most of the clubs told the pair of them to fuck off but of course, corrupt Real Madrid were happy to go along with it all.

They must be checking everything down to the length of merino's toenails in the medical - fcuking autopsy would be done quicker

To be fair, we don’t want him getting caught offside constantly with long toenails!

Typically dry and funny comment from Wibble and a clever addition by OBG. Well done chaps, both posts made me laugh.
