You could probably pick up one of those unwanted turds on loan for the season tomorrow. Koman, Sterling, Raphina or Sane.
Raphina hopefully if that’s the case.

reckon he could be our surprise signing......Arsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 3:43 pmBREAKING from @Teamnewsandtix:
Raheem Sterling has been offered to Arsenal.
The player would be willing to take a pay cut.
His situation at Chelsea is incredibly “messy” and it would be a very tricky deal to do.![]()

Fair enough Rodders, he fucked up with our 2nd goal, but all keepers fuck up and ours have been particularly good at it.
Couple of genuine question here….do you think he’s a better keeper than Leno, Ramsdale and Raya?
Do you think that if we’d kept him as our number one, then we wouldn’t have been through the goalkeeping farce we’ve seen and are still seeing?
Better than Leno - yes, better than Ramsdale - much of a muchness for me, better than Raya - no.
We could have kept him I suppose and not bothered with Ramsdale in the first place. There’s definitely an argument for that. He’s not good enough though and his regular cock ups fly under the radar because he’s at Villa.
He’ll never been as good as he thinks he is as is proven by the fact that no big club has come in for him and Villa is his ceiling. A c.unt player at a c.unt club - how apt.
I'd say undoubtedly better than Leno and Ramsdale (personally, I'd probably take Leno in front of Ramsdale).
As for Raya, he improved towards the latter stages of last season, but didn't cover himself in glory overall and got plenty of stick on here. He's started this season ok so far, but jury is still out for me. At least 2" too short for my liking, but I'll reserve judgment until Christmas.
I don't like Martinez as a bloke and thought he made a complete tosser of himself at the World Cup, but he's a top keeper imo and has been instrumental in Argentina winning the WC and the Copa America.

His age and size would eventually work against him. A taller keeper tips the ball over the bar against Villa and wouldn’t need to make the follow up save.
Yep, I thought the exact same thing at the time.

I have a feeling that we’ll end up with Toney.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Have to say that it this stage we need to sign either Toney or Osimhen to salvage this transfer window - I would be happy with either

I’d imagine Toney is holding out until tomorrow to see if anything comes from our direction. If not he’ll just go join the other 600’ players at the chavs.

Ha I should add on no more than 40k a week on a 1 year only deal.
If it him or no one needs must he's better than Eddie and as an option I would take him on above conditions...obviously I'd rather someone else but is coman better, could mudryk not be crap etc.

Agreed, although I’d rather Toney.
Wouldn’t surprise me if we ALSO end up with Sterling. If they cancel his contract or offer him on loan then Arteta will snap him up, regardless of whether we sign a striker, I think.

We won't sign toney in a million years I'd stake a 2 inch pecker on it.
Too much his own man and a character to fit in under mikel. Plus will be after big wages.
I'd like to sign him, don't think he's anywhere near elite and reminds me of a slightly better laca.

Chelsea are pushing to sell Raheem Sterling to Arsenal so they can afford Jadon Sancho.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Please don't sign Sterling. I'd rather we get no one than have him draining the wages.Arsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 7:28 pmJUST IN from @FabriceHawkins:

Why don't we get Sancho instead, he's a much better option.
