That game was bitter / sweet . Always nice to see the Tott's turkey get stuffed but we could have done with a bit of neighbourly Christmas Spirit too with the victims dropping a point or three.
However we have to accept that our downfall is entirely of our own making . Under normal circumstances as you watch us play we are the better team with better players but we have it in us not to turn up on occasions and it's those days that we lose titles.
Champions are a well oiled machine but we have a good engine with a slipping clutch .

I meant tighten up tactically a bit Augie. Gung ho football with a high line against a Bindippers team who thrive on that is just suicide. Ange is like a very poor version of later life Wenger, just hoping they outscore the opposition, always playing the same way no matter what. It just does not work in the PL now.

I can't believe the Spuds leak goals from everywhere and yet Fat Flange still refuses to tighten things up even a little bit

It's who we are mate! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Time for a contract extension!!

We lost saliba for the run in two seasons ago and collapsed defensively - they are missing their first choice keeper and 3 of their first choice back 4, so how the fcuk do they tighten up ?? It's only a month since they went to citeeh and battered them more than any premier league team have done in years - what do people reasonably expect from them ? As long as I have lived they have in essence been a cup team capable of beating anyone on their day, but equally capable of losing to shite teams on off days, so imo they have reverted to what they have been throughout their history, If they had lost 3-0 at home playing defensively would the media and fans have viewed it as a better result ? :? The victims weakness has long been their defence and average midfield imo, so any opposition team hoping to get something out of those games has to try to exploit where they are weak, but of course in doing so you are leaving a depleted back line exposed to the best forward line in the league - it is a pick your poison moment
Basically city imploded and have since lost fuck knows how many games....discount that result

just want to say scum are shite, and will always be shite.....

A point I made ages ago, but it still brings me back to my argument that they were shite playing awful football before ange came along, and now they are shite playing attacking football, so I dont understand how they are up in arms now

I dont disagree with the theory of that but a few pointers on it -

1. the first scum goal came from a high press, and they had a great chance for a second goal from a high press but their winger turned inside instead of outside to porro and lost the ball and the victims scored instead - small margins turn games

2. There really is no getting away from this, if the scum had every player fit and available, not one of their back 4 would get into our team and only one of their midfield would (Bissuma) get into our midfield - now if their first choice players are not of the required level, how does anyone expect their back up players to be good enough to lock up shop ? Think about how we struggled when we had a few injuries a while back, and then ask yourself how much worse a position are they in with 10 injured players and inferior quality

3. The reason why I find this so hypocritical is cos the scum fans and the meeja spent years bemoaning the style of football under previous 3 managers, and spurs scum fans kept saying that their priority was a manager that played spurs traditional football, Attacking football check. Win fcuk all check. This couldnt be any more traditional spurs if they tried ffs, so what the fcuk do they want or expect ??

Did Frankenstein miss a spot kick....stay humble pal...stay humble.

I wonder at any stage will he regret uttering those 2 words?

If they played a legless mannequin up top it would make more of an impact on the game than Barbie :coffeespit:

Everton could’ve won it at the death. It was like 5 on 2
