🚨🟠 Wolves have agreed on new deal with Matheus Cunha! Deal verbally in place for Brazilian star to extend the contract with salary improved.

Despite interest from several clubs, Cunha’s set to sign as soon as official documents are checked/approved.

Agent has played a blinder if true. Alerted AFC to his shit salary which we improved. He then goes back to Wolves with proof and got better terms for his client.

I'm shocked we aren't in for Rashford. Arteta has one pet project going in Havertz, why not have another in Rashford :suicide:

Because we cant sign him on loan so it is either cough up big money or look elsewhere - no way should we cough up big money

Cunha is a quality player imo, but AGAIN he is not a striker - please people do not let this clueless basque fool distract you from the position of greatest need and that is striker

I think Cunha was using this so called interest to bump up his salary before he signed a new contract. It's a shame because he's a good player.

Same thing happened with Caicedo when we were in for him, signed a new deal with Brighton before heading off to the chavs 6 months later for 100 mil. Same will happen here in the summer, it just inflates the transfer fee.

I can never work out what the upside is for the player. If he doesn’t sign, then there’s far more chance of keeping the transfer fee down and having more options of where to go. Once the fee gets astronomical it’s odds on the only option is the chavs.

As you say, happened with Caicedo and I think Neto also signed an extension when we and others were sniffing round.

There’s only one reason a player would sign it and it’s their motivation for everything - loads of cash.

2 PL clubs have enquired about taking Douglas Luiz on loan from Juventus, we've been linked with him a few times

If we sign someone in January won’t it kill Nwaneri? Need to be careful we don’t jeopardise his development.

Have heard Arteta is looking to register a new striker to the squad.

He’s big and he’s green. Can also play in goal. :barscarf:
