In Arteta's post match interview(after Spurs) he said the club were going to be active in the transfer market because as he put it "we are down two forward players", this shows the levels of incompetence we are dealing with. This cùnt didn't think we needed a striker until Jesus got injured last Sunday and now we are in mid January making enquiries into a position that should have been filled a few seasons ago. Personally I thought we looked ok going forward (up to a point) tonight. That last 'goal' should have stood. It hit Havertz chest' I said it after the first replay and was sure that if VAR had taken the time to look closely and see that that was the case. they would have made the right decision rather than making their minds up before actually looking at it closely. Also in my opinion their 1st goal was an OG but that's neither here nor there. Having said all this what we can't deny is that we have found yet another way to drop points and for that we have to blame the master tactician. Our best bet is to be level with 5 mins to go and look to pinch a wijnner using the proven goal scorer that we are yet to acquire!!!!
Arteta as I have said many times before is not the man and he proves it time and time again. Scousers a country mile ahead of us. Imagine them throwing a 2 goal lead at home. Really not surprising at all. Depressing.

Haven’t read the thread yet, so apologies if I rehash what’s been said….I’ve no doubt I will.

You don’t win trophies and especially league titles, with weak links like Partey, Merino and Havertz as regulars. You don’t win things with no centre midfield creativity and you certainly don’t win things with no goal scoring striker/s. Add to that a capitulation when 2-0 up, as a result of Sunday league defending and you don’t deserve to win anything.

I’m fucking amazed that we’re in second place, it says a lot about the quality of the league.
