Haven’t read the thread yet, so apologies if I rehash what’s been said….I’ve no doubt I will.

You don’t win trophies and especially league titles, with weak links like Partey, Merino and Havertz as regulars. You don’t win things with no centre midfield creativity and you certainly don’t win things with no goal scoring striker/s. Add to that a capitulation when 2-0 up, as a result of Sunday league defending and you don’t deserve to win anything.

I’m fucking amazed that we’re in second place, it says a lot about the quality of the league.

We peaked last season, it’s now stale as fuck and the manager’s shelf life is up. His side, his decisions and he must own the weaknesses. Trouble is, he won’t acknowledge them. His post match interviews are fucking embarrassing.

In Arteta's post match interview(after Spurs) he said the club were going to be active in the transfer market because as he put it "we are down two forward players", this shows the levels of incompetence we are dealing with. Only 1 sub, inexcusable game mismanagement. At 2-0 shouldve shut up shop and bolstered defence. Shouldve brought Kiwior on at CB and moved Timber to RB. Clueless by Artechoke.

He didn’t trust Kiwior next to Gabriel at the start so no chance of him bringing him on. It would’ve meant two left footed CBs which is a recipe for disaster but I’m not sure it would’ve been worse than playing Timber there and shifting Partey to rb. To have White, Saliba and the non entity Tomiyasu out at the same time was always going to be damaging. Need to discard Tomiyasu in the summer.

Didn’t sleep great and was pissed off this morning but deep down I realise that even if we’d nicked a late winner last night where do we go from there? Limp on to the next game with 11 players and no striker?

It was going to come off the rails at some point may as well be last night as later in the season when it would be more painful.

Just announce the seriousness of the Saliba injury now and we can make our peace with writing off the season.
