You know he's going to put out our strongest eleven because it's what we do.

We should give that new striker and winger we've just signed, let them bed in

It's the good lady's birthday, so I'll be out tonight and not able to watch this. No excuse for not getting a win, but I genuinely never know what to predict with our lot.

It's hard to get enthused about a competition that we all know we won't get close to winning, but having put the effort in and being in 3rd place, I hope we finish off on a high and ensure we don't have a play-off game to face. We're as good as there, but could still slip up if all results go against us.

My god this clueless arsehole really should be gone from our club by now -
From Sky Sports Website
Arteta: We'll need 'strong team' to beat already-eliminated Girona
Arsenal go into Wednesday night's Champions League match at Girona sitting third in the Champions League table and, with 16 points, they are all but through to the last 16.

A point in the Estadi Montilivi against already-eliminated Girona will ensure progression without the need for a play-off in February, though their goal difference means it would take a remarkable combination of results for them to finish outside of the top eight.

"We’re here to win the game and in order to do that we’re going to have to be better than them,” said Arteta.

"They’re a really good side, if you look at the games they’ve played in the Champions League against top opposition, they’ve made life very difficult for them.

"So it will be a very strong team in order to achieve what we want to do because mathematically the qualifying at the moment is uncertain."

Honestly this dopey c.unt is incapable of looking at the bigger picture, and it will be poetic justice if he gets a few injuries to his main players tonight in a game where they dont need to play  Imagine the fury if we dont have starters available for the citeeh game cos of un-necessary workload put on them tonight - man should be lynched ffs :censored: For all the understandable commotion about how referee's and var have cost us this season, we also need to acknowledge the role mis-management continues to play in our failure to win a trophy - playing the same players all the time leads to exhaustion and muscle fatigue and injuries that even a deep squad would struggle with, but a squad as thin as ours is has no chance. Tonight I would go for a line up like this

neto

partey heaven kiwor tierney

jorginho lewis-skelly (he deserves a run out in his favoured position imo)

Nwanieri

sterling havertz trossard

Girona are effectively City’s B team and I’d imagine they will out to prove a point. They’ve lost most of their goad players including Savinho who is now at City. No need to risk key players seeing as we have City over the weekend.

Forget this “we need a point nonsense” - we can actually qualify with a 3 or 4 goal defeat this evening, given the goal difference we have got.

If he doesn’t play a weakened team tonight then he never will. If we have ANY tired legs on Sunday then that is all on Arteta.

Pere Guardiola Sala (born 16 July 1976) is a Spanish businessman and agent who is the chairman of Girona and brother of the Manchester City manager Pep ...

What makes you think there will not be a few hefty tackles tonight.

Apparently winning a game is worth about 1.8m ,and then if you finish in the top 8 ,thts worth 9m as opposed to only 1m if you finish in the play off places
