Salah, they have Salah. The rest of their attacking options are similar to ours.
The other 4 have 25 goals between them all important and match winning
Havertz, Martinelli, Trossard and Saka have 24 PL goals between them. 27 if you add Jesus. Salah has scored almost 40% of their PL goals and created many more. I think Rodders said 75% if you combine goals and assists. That’s insane. He’s undoubtedly the difference maker.

I don’t think anyone is doubting that Salah is truly world class and would make a difference to any side.

However, for all those assists, you need strikers who can put the ball away. We have Havertz and Jesus. They’d soon fuck up Salah’s stats.

I also think that Gooner 265 was referencing central strikers, centre forwards, not wide attacking players, so his point was that we’ve replaced Auba and Laca with the duds Havertz and Jesus and failed to improve on that.

Any of Jota, Gakpo and Diaz can play through the middle and all are far more of a threat than our two. Even the flop Nuñez is no worse than our duffers. I genuinely find it embarrassing to watch Havertz. Doesn’t help that Chelsea supporters I know piss themselves laughing that we bought him (for 60 million ffs!!).
Once again, you are turning a straight forward factual point into a merry go round debate.

We can all agree that Havertz is not the elite striker we need if we want to win major trophies. This is not in dispute.

However, it is disgenenous to say that Liverpool have an array of talent upfront to nick the points when Havertz is outscoring all their central strikers. This is the point Gooner265 was making which I responded to. He then went on to state the goal output of Liverpool's strikers when our lads are matching their numbers if not producing more. Diaz and Gakpo have played more minutes but producing less than Havertz.
So despite benefitting from the services of a world class creator like Salah, Liverpool's strikers are producing less output than Havertz. Ergo, we are back to the original point that Salah is the difference maker and if you stick him in our attack, we'd almost certainly be comfortably on top of the league.

Ok, let's look at the stats and let's start with the league, which is the best measure. We'll ignore that Liverpool have played a game less, although the extra game could very well prove favourable for Gakpo and Diaz.

Havertz: mins played 1842, goals scored 9, so 1 goal every 205 minutes.

Gakpo: mins played 1304, goals scored 8, so 1 goal every 163 minutes.

Diaz: mins played 1436, goals scored 8, so 1 goal every 180 minutes.

So, your post above is simply wrong. Let's just say you made a mistake.

Ok, now let's look at the total for league, CL and League Cup, where in the latter two we've played the same number of games:

Havertz: mins played 2566, goals scored 15, so 1 goal every 171 minutes.

Gakpo: mins played 1937, goals scored 15, so 1 goal every 129 minutes.

Diaz: mins played 2022, goals scored 12, so 1 goal every 169 minutes.

So, your claim that Gakpo and Diaz had played more minutes is wrong, as is the claim that they produce less than Havertz. Once again, he's coming up short, particularly in the league and particularly compared to Gakpo. We should also remember that he's always played as our front man, whereas they are often out wide, especially Diaz.

None of this negates the impact that Salah has, which I've heard no one dispute, but how anyone can try to build a case for Havertz is beyond me. I didn't need the stats, my eyes tell me enough, but good to know the stats back my eyes up.

Sold Laca and Auba and in 11 transfer windows we haven't replaced either of them with a genuine striker utterly baffling and could cost us trophies.
I get he wants Sesko but you have to have a 2nd and 3rd choice with your transfer strategy. Spunky was on the radio the other day saying he knows we've been trying to sign a striker since the summer but can't get any he wants over the line, who they are I've no idea . You can't tell me you can't sign a genuine goalscorer in 11 windows , the reason Liverpool are top is they have an array of talent up front to nick the points , they aren't anything special ,if we had the same we'd be top.

You have included havertz in your total who is supposed to be our main striker so remove him as I didn't include Salah and there us the difference. They have extra goals coming from the bench and can rotate more . It's criminal we haven't bought a proper striker (I don't consider Jesus or Havertz as one) in 11 windows to replace auba and Laca

Havertz is an enigma. He has a very good goalscoring record but we know he misses a lot of great chances too! He does do a great job for the team overall.
Interestingly, most of us would have taken Watkins in a heartbeat but Watkins has missed the most 'big chances' in the PL this season and he also has the same record as Havertz - 20 goals and assists.!

Well no because Salah is not Liverpool’s main striker either. Liverpool rotate between Gapko, Diaz, Jota and Nunez. I didn’t include Saka who plays a similar role to Salah so the list I provided is comparable and the numbers prove that our strike force is producing a similar output to Liverpool’s without Salah.

Yep, he names Saka (who has 5 goals) in his list that make up the total of 24. It's in this very quote tower.

Havertz(9), Martinelli(6), Trossard(4), Jesus(3) - 22goals.

Gakpo(8), Diaz (8), Jota (5) Nunez(4) - 25goals

Saka or no Saka, there’s hardly a significant difference and certainly for a strike force that benefits from Salah’s services, you’d expect the gap to be bigger. So once again, it is Salah and not some lethal support act that’s tipping the balance for Scousers

So my point still stands , if we'd bought a striker in 11 windows we'd have a different outlook now. Whoever blocked the Isak transfer wants shooting , just imagine him up front in this team.

Never mind - sign another midfielder in Zubimendi and that's all our problems solved

We are a joke of a club. Plenty of activity in this recent window and our gormless wankers couldn't get a single deal done

Fuck all of them from Josh Kroenke down to the manager. These owners only ever gpt their hand in their pocket once we were out of the CL. Now we're back in it, we are back to signing over priced cowards who see 2nd place, no cups and an annual 5 star trip to Dubai as a season of achievement

Fuck all of them - *word censored* to a man.

Diego Costa (36 - again!), Ryan Kent (28) and Rafinha (31) are the best of the free transfer market, if we’re desperate.

Wissam Ben Yedder (34) gets a mention, too.
