Great news.....

Referee for this game is Darren England......the guy on VAR for the Wolves game when he agreed with Oliver that MLS deserved a red card! W@nker of the highest order. To top it off we also have Stuart Twatwell on VAR for this game, another incompetent Arsenal hater. :banghead:
To be honest mate, I'm not sure it matters much now. I'm struggling to think of a single official I would welcome to officiate - either on the pitch or in the VAR studio - all as fucking incompetent as the next man

I know many on here think its all on us, but imagine if Tarkowski had performed that challenge on one of our players last night and had VAR confirm it as a yellow card

VAR has been introduced in a way so as to deliberately fail and I've maintained that from day one. Last night's horror challenge is just the latest example - if that wasn't a clear and obvious error by the ref then god knows what is. Even diehard blue dipper Duncan Ferguson couldn't believe it. The whole system is flawed, deliberately so by those who reluctantly introduced it a few years ago, so it will never work. Its like having a Prime Minister who didn't want Brexit and asking her to implement it!
Have we seen a sending off like the Rice one...or MLS one...have we fuck and never will.....thats obvious Anti arsenal bias proven
VAR gives them that excuse to interfere with decisions and of course be unaccountable...CORRUPT
Google up any article about how the PL table would look if incorrect decisions were reversed, or without VAR, or recalibrating the table for confirmed VAR mistakes and you'll find we'd still be second. Teams like Bournemouth have suffered worse than we have. Not saying we haven't had more rough than smooth - we have - but there will be fans of teams like Bournemouth, Southampton, Wolves and Everton saying the same

One thing is for sure - the standard of reffing is awful. The top European refs are better than ours, and a truly international game would have overseas refs running our games. Also VAR is set up to fail - the whole principle of 'clear and obvious' kills it dead because it should be used exactly for the opposite as with any other sport. We don't want it correcting clear and obvious mistakes, we want it correcting ones that are too tight to call in real time. Its a fundamentally flawed implementation that will never work in its current guise
I would prefer that any subjective decisions remain the on field decisions, and only use VAR for example if a penalty given but there was no contact at all, or if handball given but didn't hit hand (I would leave decisions like it hit hand but ref didn't see it to the on field) you shouldn't be able to overturn refs interpretation

It's the starting line up of a manager who knows the game is up in the league - he can never admit as much but when Sterling starts you know the game is up. Ask yourself if he'd be starting if we trailed Liverpool by 3 points?

Delighted that Captain Invisible is left out, even if in Lego's mind it's to save him for Madrid. Having said that Trossard has been every bit as bad - nothing short of disgraceful in fact - so the lesser of two evils

1-0 coming up

The ONE player that we now cannot afford to get injured ahead of madrid game is saliba cos of gabriel's injury, and the stupid c.unting manager shouldnt even brought him to scouseland today much less played him - honestly is there a more braindead c.unt than the cone boy ? Imagine facing madrid missing both first choice centre backs - dunno if a man could even face watching it.

Team today should have been
neto, partey, kiwor, tierney, zinchenko, jorginho, merino, captain invisible, sterling, butler, trossard

I know some bemoan the luck we have had this season (and understandably so) but sometimes you make your own luck, and honestly saliba, rice and lewis skelly should not be risked today

I wouldn't play Neto in goal if we were playing Rotherham to be honest, losing by several goals to Everton would not be ideal preparation and that keeper makes Runarsson look like the new Seaman!
I also definitely wouldn't play Kiwior and Zinchenko in defence at the same time......because we would be playing with two defenders because neither of them is fit for purpose!
It's a difficult one, we need to rest the 'top' players for Madrid but need to keep everyone sharp and tip top super qualitée! I think Saka will get at least 30 mins today and the others will probably make an appearance as well. Playing these cloggers is not ideal, there's at least half a dozen c.unts in their team who will fly into tackles, luckily we have officials who will deal with it           :rubchin:

Wouldn't be surprised at 0-0 but I'm actually going for 2-2.......no injuries is more important than 3 points today!

First highlighted bit I agree with 100% - second highlighted bit I dont know. I know that it has always been your position on the subject, but honestly I dont know how you set it up to fail :? I get it with decisions where they are not shown the proper angle on a replay or technical issues like that where you can claim sabotage, but on issues like tarkowski's challenge I dont see how that can be viewed as anything less than incompetence on var official, so that puts spotlight again back on the competence of referee's more than the system. Most of the var fcuk ups this season (and there has been a ton of them) have been human error by gobshites who clearly dont know the game, OR who are corrupt to the core

If one of ours did what Petterson did to Nwaneri it'd be a yellow card.

What difference does it make ? We all know the league is gone so who cares even if we get a hammering today if it is a reserve team that gets hammered ? It will have zero effect on madrid game
