Seen your type over the 17 years of being on here so you're welcome to some original thoughts or just keep WUMing as has been noted by several already and bigging it up with your superfan claims
I'm just going upstairs to change from last season's City shirt into my Liverpool one now and I'll be back on Saturday to cheer Brentford on.
Hope that's calmed you down luvvie. Don't let the nurse sneak that microchip in

Not about being a better fan. No idea where are you reading these non-existent posts. You think Arsenal deserve to be fucked over by refs. I don’t. I can see our shortcomings. I still support the side and won’t emotionally dump on them because I’m frustrated we didn’t sign the players we should have done. This is the AFTV influence on this site. It’s generally more popular when we lose than when we win.SteveO 35 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 6:20 pmWhatever turns you on fella. Re: Real Madrid A Big lugs quarter final 2nd leg Weds April 16th KO 8pm
For the record, I've said it before that I probably do post more on here when we lose. I first joined in 2008 sick of the Wenger demise which then carried on too long. I wasn't alone in that by the way! Many others who felt the same are still here while dozens of others have moved on
When Arsenal lose it hits me to the core - not so much as I've got older and learnt to deal with it in different ways but it still has the ability to ruin a good evening or afternoon. This site has almost been therapeutic - in the really dark times it was the banter and laughter and endless Wenger memes and quotes that softened the blow. A good humoured rant. Football being football that sometimes spills over as we all get emotional. The Kroenkes and Wenger really got to me, to the point I stopped going to games and tried to find ones to replace the Arsenal drug - sometimes successfully, sometimes unsuccessfully
I've never said Arsenal deserve to be done over by refs. There are decisions this seaon that have had me as mad as you no doubt - the Joao Pedro penalty, the Rice sending off and several others - all a fucking joke. Where i differ from you is that i don't sign up to the total anti-Arsenal bias. I see it as gross incompetence and I know fans of other teams feel the same way. If there was anti Arsenal bias and it was backed up statistically I would be up there with you, demanding the club gets a hearing and takes action.
If all of the above makes me less of a fan in someone else's opinion so be it - I've had that debate till the cows come home. If we win the CL it will be the greatest achievement in the history of the club and for all of us it has been a lifetime waiting. If it makes people doubly happy to call out some of the negative posts from the past by me and others, then again so be it. If you give it, you take it...no issues.

Let’s leave it there. We are all fans of The Arsenal. I like a vent like the best of us. I know we have not given ourselves the best chance with recruitment. I think refs have also fucked us though. I think they have assisted the Scousers. Both can be true at the same time. I want us to win trophies because I can’t deal with us being labelled Bottlers. I want us to win the Big Lugs and shove it down everyone’s throat.

It's a moment that we've all been dreaming about whether we've been going to games for 60 years or watching from whatever corner of the globe you come from.
I'd like to think for at least a week if it does happen that everyone here will be so deliriously happy, pissed up to the eyeballs or whatever turns you on that it would be the biggest love-in known to man

I didn't fancy us at all last night and had a tenner double Real and Bayern
Thankfully wrong on both!
I only watch highlights now because I cant be arsed to watch 90 mins, given how our 90 mins usually go!
We have a great chance to possibly make history and FFS there isn't a club in the world more overdue a bit of luck and a fair deal!
One of the biggest advantages we could have, is that the corrupt plge etc have no part in it!
Yet we need to make sure we dont give corporate uefa the opportunities to hand the tie to Real!
No silly fouls or petulance or any stupidity!

Gotta be honest mate I think you have misinterpreted this forum slightly. It was set up as a kind of online pub where fellow Gooners could get together and have a laugh, and have a good old moan when the Arsenal lose - something anyone that has supported the club and been to games will have experienced in a pub many times.Limerick Gooner wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 6:23 pmNot about being a better fan. In the early days we had a bit of a friendly disrespect for the official club forum and many of their ex members joined us after they were banned by the wanky mods over there for the slightest criticism of the club, or the manager, or a player. Our slang name for the official club forum was "Pravda."

So our attitude was one of "we won't ban anyone for criticising the club etc." And people liked that freedom to post more or less what they wanted.
That's the reason there is more posting when we fail than when we succeed, it's people blowing off steam. Every single Gooner on here is a real Gooner and most of us have been going to games, home, away, in Europe for decades. I've met the likes of augie (who has often been called not a real fan on here) at games (we even played together in a fans game Online Gooner vs Sunderland fans but augie was shit and missed a sitter from two yards) but I digress....

Try not to take the sometimes OTT posts as a personal insult.
We will all celebrate hugely if we win that CL.
Oh also AFTV are hated on here because they are superfan wànkers.

Re: Real Madrid A Big lugs quarter final 2nd leg Weds April 16th KO 8pm
Hello Sid. We will have to watch out for the ref over there because their antics on the night will be like they always are. They'll behave like total c.unts from beginning to end, feigning injury, screaming for penalties, waving imaginary cards in the refs face and all sorts of other shite. I think it will take the very best ref Europe has to offer not to be bullied and sadly many refs have given in to them and Barcelona over the years. If we give them half a chance to produce cards they'll take it. I take heart from the fact that it won't be one of the useless pricks from the PL reffing and hopefully VAR will be applied with common sense as it is more often than not in the CL, as opposed to the shitshow we see every week domesticallySid33 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 7:16 pmI didn't fancy us at all last night and had a tenner double Real and Bayern

Whole point of a forum is to vent and debate issues with those who have same interest concerns. It's helps cope with issues with the club. This by nature forums are quieter when all is well. No venting needed. So it's natural it's far less posting when we are doing well as there no point posting wow amazing all is good as it doesn't make us feel better and get it off out chest and no one who matters sees it.Limerick Gooner wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 6:23 pmNot about being a better fan. Unless someone is the odd type who pointlessly adds likes or facile comments on social media posts for no benefit of anyone, it's clear why it's less posting when things are well. And the point of the forum isn't to show support, no one who needs support sees it. That's for at the ground itself. The whole point of the forum is criticism, venting, etc. I suspect the city forums have been pretty quiet these last few years, on actual on pitch topics but more busy this season as it's gone to shit.

Indeed. We have current evidence. Following the game on Tuesday when we saw a performance, result and goals the likes of which we’ve long been starved, I came on here expecting a thread of 25 or 30 pages. I think it was only 17 pages an hour or more after the game. It’s also been very quiet on the forum in the last 2 days.
Compare that to the match threads and general activity following a piss poor performance and result.
