Arsenal were the only team to advance from the quarter to the semi finals with no real panic, they were the only team to win both legs of their quarter final.

Great result. Party WILL be missed in the semi 1st leg. Unlike a few on here I thought he had another good game. Just watched how much ground he covers during the 90 mins. All did OK. Real are so over rated. :barscarf: :barscarf:

I thought partey had a good second half but a poor first half tbh, and I think the stress on here about him missing the first leg of semi final is funny given how many slate him every week  If you recorded the full game then go back and watch the first half again - watch how many times our defenders won headers but partey was nowhere to be found for second ball. Watch their movement off the ball when jude bellend was pushed right up onto oir defnders forcing lewis-skelly to tuck in and leave rodrygo free on the wing - as the designated defensive midfielder, it was partey's job to track bellend but he was nowhere. Watch how many times it was rice who had to make up ground to make the tackles/blocks on bellend, when rice was meant to be playing the 8 but had to cover partey

Just watching the goals this morning and Saka's goal is absolutely fucking beautiful in terms of build-up play, movement and then the finish and Martinelli's finish is fucking fantastic. Perfect touch to set up the angle and then stroking it into the far corner. His celebration reminded me of Henry after he scored there at that end. Fucking lovely. :barscarf:

Ok - first time posting, so queue the abuse...

But, can anyone remember a better performance by an Arsenal midfielder than Declan Rice tonight? Love Paddy to bits, but I can't even remember Vieira having a game like that...
Rice put in a tremendous performance, some on here dont like to admit it but Rice as i have always said is truly a WORLD class midfielder

his workrate up and down the pitch breaking up danger and starting attacks doing all the unglamourous unseen work is amazing

Viera was another great player

The goal from Martinelli was very well taken, the speed he runs with the ball and the chasing defender could not get near him....quality

big question i have had for years is why he dont play Martinelli in the middle...or even try it???

I was amazed at the energy martinelli still had going on 90 minutes, half a pitch sprint with enough in the tank to outpace the defender and give himself a chance, very impressive.

What a night last night. The game had everything I expected from Real, in being massive cheating cùnts. Apart from Mbappes diving, I lost count of the amount of times they tried to take one of ours out, in particular how the fuck did Rudiger stay on the field, dirty cùnt. Apart from the penalty miss and Saliba's brain fart, we were excellent. Real created fuck all and our two goals were brilliant, what a chance now to finally end the CL hoodoo, COYG :barscarf:

I should have been there last night. When the tickets went on sale, I qualified and managed to get one into my basket. Then the website crashed on me, and by the time I got back in, it was sold out. I've been mortified for the last two weeks.

Had mates that travelled that where messaging me, full of empathy. Last night was bitter sweet for me, buzzing that we got to the semi, but also tinged with sadness that I wasn't in that away end.

If we make it to Munich, I am going ticket or no ticket. COYG!!

I agree with this. There were times in that first half when they broke on us and there were acres between our back four and our midfield. That’s the space Partey should be occupying. Still, I’m no fan of his, but overall he was very good in both legs. Absolutely stupid yellow.

Just a note for anyone looking at booking a Munich ticket.....just in case.. :D .....you may already know, but save yourself a fortune and don't fly into Munich, last time I went we flew into Salzburg in Austria and got the train up to Munich, about 2 hours and it costs about £20, dead easy and we saved a couple of hundred quid on flights doing it that way!!

Yes Red, you have indeed always been a big advocate for Rice. Ive always said I’m glad we’ve got him, but I’ve also always questioned what we spent on him, because I haven’t seen him as a game changer (nor do I think he’s had a particularly good season this term), but he was magnificent in both legs of this tie. If he carries on like that then he’ll be well worth what we paid.

Absolute sickener Nutty.

Think how I felt in 89. Had a good, usually reliable, mate promise me a ticket for anfield and then let me down at the last minute. I still haven't really got over it tbh. :|

Well, going to PSG home, no chance of an away ticket. But I want that pilgrimage to Munich to become a reality.

And Anfield 89 you know the feeling!

The endn of the season is coming and of course another transfer window not far behind it for the cone boy to show yet again why he is NOT the man to take this team forward - I have zero doubts that one of the priorities on cone boys target list is another winger to take the left wing spot from martinelli, but anyone who has watched this team can see that martinelli has done more in the last month even, than odeargod has done all season. I dont give a shit if you are talking about a sunday league team or a champions league team because in every team set up your number 10 attacking midfielder is supposed to be THE main creator and to chip in with regular goals - our captain has done neither but instead of focusing on him, the spotlight will be on the attackers who he is meant to be supplying. Last nights goal was a prime example of what martinelli can be if the supply line is better - if it was casper the disappearing captain that received the ball (instead of merino) he would likely have twisted and turned on the ball before losing it or passing sidewards or backwards. Merino gets the ball and looks up and see's the run martinelli is making and releases it early for him to use his speed to run onto it and the rest is history 8) Now I know the fact that madrid had to push forward at that stage left big gaps to run in behind that probably wouldnt be there playing against a team with low blocks, BUT the principle remains that forward players thrive on early fast ball, and instead of looking to upgrade martinelli we should be shining the spotlight on the problem we have with our disappearing captain
