Ipswich A (dead rubber) Sun 20th April KO 2pm

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Could be a cricket score. They’re wide open like Jordan’s badger back there.

If zinchenko was a maldini like defender I could understand the thinking maybe, but he isnt so why does he start in games like this ahead of tierney, when in games like real madrid tierney is brought on ahead of him ?? :? :? :? :? I know tierney is more often than not brought on to play as a winger, but is the cone boy honestly trying to say that as a defender zinchenko is better than tierney ??? I suppose its edu's fault too

Can understand the team today, there are several teams right behind us and resting players does take sharpness away. You can't wrap players in cotton wool for several games and expect them to perform like we did against Madrid.
Common sense hopefully will prevail if we can get 3 goals up after 60 mins.

Tired muscles get injured easier and that is a fact - after the amount of defensive work the players done in madrid, today was the day to rest them and then give them a run out Wednesday night against a palace team focused on their cup semi final next week. I havent been in football 40 years but then you dont need to be to have that type of logic unless you are the cone boy who has spent the whole season picking the same players and then moaning about them picking up injuries

Lovely. :barscarf: Great touch and Martinelli remembering where the goal is in the last week.

It was Martinelli 2 yards out and open goal so was concerned if he could finish it or not, but happy for him 2 in 2
