PSG A Big lugs Semi final 2nd Weds 7th May KO 8pm

I have nothing in the way of positive expectations, so therefore no real hope.

Unlike many on here, I don't think it's vital to score early. We're only one behind, so the vital thing is to stop them scoring early. I've no doubt they'll come out of the blocks very fast, so keep it tight for 25 minutes and they might lose momentum. If we go in at half time 0-0, I'll be pretty happy.

The trouble is, the best way to keep it tight is to still be able to pose a threat up front, but without a striker, we can't do that. As we all know, it's that lack of a striker that has and will cost us in every way this season. In both games in the Barca/Inter tie, I'd say that Barca were the better side, but Inter showed exactly what you can do with capable strikers who can harass defenders and take half chances. We don't have that threat.

Anyway, feeling pretty relaxed, because as others have said, not expecting anything.

Still, fingers crossed and stranger things have happened.

Up The Gunners. :barscarf:

Arsenal: Raya Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Merino.

Subs: Neto, Setford, White, Calafiori, Tierney, Zinchenko, Jorginho, Henry-Francis, Nwaneri, Butler-Oyedeji, Trossard, Sterling.
Fucking scandalous that Ødegaard is starting

Did you expect anything different buddy ? Captain hasnt been shit this past fortnight - he has been shit all season and yet remains a focal part of the cone boy's team all the time. Any fools that claim that the cone boy doesnt do favourites just need to look at the odeargod scenario cos it is shameful it really is - if it goes tits up tonight with another invisible performance from the coward, then the cone boy has signed his own death warrant and can have no complaints if he is moved on in the summer

Beginning to get very nervous now - it all comes down to what version of this team turns up tonight

Ally Mccoist looks like they've had to wake him up from under a bridge.

I dont blame ohdeargod, hes like the shit player in any squad whose the gaffers son and first name on the sheet evey week.

It’s the weak minded fool in charge that irks me, if your paid a fortune to make the hard decisions and you shirk them week after week it really says something about your character.

He was a bang average midfielder and a complete pussy on the pitch, no surprise he favours bang average pussies on the pitch now hes a “manager”

Time to get behind the team.
It’s May 7th - we are still in it. Made it to the final 3.

Come on the Gunners! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Have no expectation on us winning tonight so surprisingly calm about it.

Have no doubt it'll change to blind rage during the game when we start spurning countless chances to score or we're fannying around passing the ball in our own area.

Mikel says the first leg was a really really even match defined by one moment,

I wouldn’t mind getting hold of the tape he’s seen because I remember us being schooled for 85 minutes while mikel gee’d the crowd up rather than doing his job.

Fortunate I guess that we’re just playing a small team with no serious financial backing/political shenanigans involved.
We're gonna try bribe him by PSG's amount plus 1 pound, that'll show him we mean business.
This is what gives me a dose of the trots

How the fuck can UEFA seriously put a ref in charge of such an important game, regardless that it's us, that has previous for match fixing.

At what point will the commentators mention it when Saliba gets booked in the first five minutes :rubchin:

It's fucking scandalous.

I'm uncertain on this one, but if we get after them we can win, but if Diet Pep sits back it will be a painful "dans les fesses"

Lads for the record the ban was a few years ago and he has since refereed england in a euro's knockout game last summer that ye won and there was no big hoopla about him either before or after that game - methinks someone out there is deliberately trying to rile up the Gooner masses cos we have a history of looking to lay the blame elsewhere when we fail.
Diet Pep will get no get out of jail free card from me if he fucks this up. We don't need any excuses, nor do we want any type of UEFA shenanigans now that their beloved Spanish teams are both out.

Barely watch international football these days tbh, used to go a lot back in the 80s and 90s, but barely have an interest as it's shit. 8)
