UEFA will be absolutely destroyed in the European media over the summer and rightly so. There's no way this will ever be allowed to have a Champions League place attached to it again. Six English places and one for this will cause a fucking meltdown in Italy, Germany and Spain.

The point is we had several seasons in the competition and failed to win it.

This all stems from the European super league. To try to stem that UEFA bloated the champions league with more clubs and then extended it even further by providing a safety net in this shite competition for anyone who managed to find themselves outside the top 36 clubs in Europe.
