And as I keep saying no decent clubs linked with him at all.

Must be a reason for that

And ourselves and two saudi clubs are the only one's linked to sesko - must be a reason for that too ? :rubchin: :rubchin:
But Augie I'm not advocating sesko! No one interest as shit probably!

I'm simply saying osimhem is unrealistic and a wrong un. Saying that doesn't advocate the sesko route.

But then if we want to play that game who's linked with gykores utd and it's and chavs maybe?

Doesn't seem many in market for strikers

Utter silence on osimhem despite being best available.

Well we won’t be signing anyone for a week or so as the window has just ‘slammed shut’*

Makes little difference to us as we don't sign anyone anyway.

We're the only club in world football who probably has a countdown to the transfer window opening. Huge clocks running on a screen in every office with the countdown ticking up to the transfer window opening and everyone at the club cheering because they can all go home early for a couple of months.

In the last two seasons osimhen has won the italian league and the turkish league as a key player in both teams - we simply do not have players with winning experience who can guide the team when they hit stormy waters. As a club and as a fanbase we hugely undervalue the experience of winning - we have a manager who never won fcuk all as a player and he was along for the ride as pep's cone boy at citeeh, so how does he know how to guide players to be champions again ? We have what is largely a quality squad, but how much winners experience is in the squad ? PV4 and Henry will often talk about how they were educated to become winners by the likes of TA6 and the back 4, and players after that talk about the influence PV4 had on the younger players when he was captain - we desperately need players with a winning pedigree and osimhen has that in spades

A complete total utter catastrophe of a summer transfer window without a single solitary signing

I was expecting signings the moment the window opened

5th place finish I think behind Liverpool City Chelsea and whoever buys gyokores :x
Why, we never do that. We speculate, pontificate and send out tentative, lowball bids that immediately get rejected. As we dawdle along eyeing these key players we'll pick up 2 unknowns, a left back and a keeper, one for 10m, the other on a free. Then as the window draws to a close, the guy we were originally after has been sold to a rival or his asking price has gone from 70m to over 100. In the end, they'll re-sell Havertz to us fans..........

With the placating club statement......The fans forget, just before his injury he was on target to score......he can slot in anywhere.......he needs to be given another full season up front so the fans can see what we see....... :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

Way too much 'Championshop Manager' expectations on here imo.
There are reasons for negotiations, Arsenal don't have the money to just rush in, offer full asking price and pay all the money up front, we can't do that because of PSR!!!
Part of the discussions are because we want to pay in installments to enable us to sign more players.
Sporting supposedly now want 80m plus for 27yo Gyokeres who has only scored lots of goals in one of the weakest leagues in Europe FFS. He's a massive gamble with pretty much no sell on fee, he's a classic Chelsea or Man Utd purchase.
Sesko has scored 33 goals in 70 games in the last 2 years, in a harder league, at the age of 20 and 21 and in a team which changes every season because of their 'model' of selling players! He would be a massive hit at Arsenal and would score 15-20 goals minimum in his first season if he stays fit imo (Arsenal destroy players fitness somehow)
No-one will touch Osimhen with a barge pole even though he'll only cost around 60m, because he's trouble. We have a good 'team', we don't want a trouble maker like PEA all over again.

It's shocking that the season starts tomorrow and we haven't bought any players in the 1st 10 days

Selective use of stats there buddy - the yardstick which strikers have ALWAYS been measured is league goals (it was always said that you need a striker that scores 20+ league goals a season), and the reality is that last season he scored 13 league goals, and in the previous season he scored 14 -

It was league and cup goals Augie, both relevant really.
At the age of 21, Gyokeres was knocking in 7 goals in 26 league games in the German 2nd division.
In fact, he's not been prolific until he went to Portugal. If he was 40m, I think he'd be worth a gamble but if they are insisting on 70-80m, it really is too expensive.

Like I have said a hundred times already, I absolutely understand the concerns about gyokeres cos I have those same concerns too, but a guy who gets 13 league goals a season IS NOT an upgrade on havertz, and is not going to fire us to titles.

Again no one is saying we don't need that or that osimhem doesn't have that

You keep ignoring that no one's touching him with a barge pole despite him being far and away the best and proven goalscorer on paper and risk free and not too expensive.

It must be because he's a massive *word censored*. What other reason can there be?

Pointing this out doesn't condone our approach of being linked with risky unproven players. Although not sure who is available who isn't unproven bar osimhem

It's all well and good saying arteta cannot manage big personalities, and I agree but there needs to be acknowledged that big personalities fucked up emery as well and people were moaning about toxic players who didn't care and downed tools and wanting them flushed, ozil, Pea at times, laca, mustafi etc.

We don't want a team of captain molksops sucking managers plums but equally we don't want massive *word censored* who could cause issues, and have a history of doing so.

Leroy Sane set to join Galatasaray. He has agreed a three-year deal worth up to €11m per season. #UCL football a key factor in his decision.🇹🇷
