Arsenal believe the price of Gyokeres is too high considering his age and £75m for Sesko is also considered very high for a player that hasn't proven himself and are now considering signing Ollie Watkins.

@garyjacob
Doesn't anyone at the club realise that nobody really gives a fucking shit whether or not they think a player is overpriced. Either pay it or don't. If you need that type of player, fucking pay it. Gyokeres is 27, Watkins is 29. What's the difference in asking price then that makes one overpriced at 27 but not overpriced at 29? And couldn't we have signed Watkins a few years ago for a lot less money?
I find it fucking hilarious that a bunch of owners who spunked away countless millions on all the shite they have over the years can say anyone is overpriced ffs

Paying all that cash for havertz when had wasn't even performing, but then baulking at paying slightly more for either of these two strikers?

It feels like the old days where the whole world could see that Wenger needed a defender and he refused to sign one. Now it's strikers. There will be an offer of 7p and a button and that will be all the intent shown.

I'm not panicking because there is plenty of time before the start of the season, I'm just predicting. And I don't think I'm that wide of the mark.

My question is, IF this team are only a top striker away from winning trophies (as everyone would have you believe  ), then why are we even considering a player that isnt proven at the highest level (sesko) regardless of what the price is ??? Does the dickhead cone boy expected this team to stay together for another 2 or 3 years waiting for any striker to mature/develop ??? I continue to say that there is a serious flaw in our plans and the contractions are too numerous to mention. For past few years I listened/read comments from brainless c.unts spout nonsense about how the cone boy and edu were brilliant in their transfer business, and then edu's departure gave those same c.unts a convenient scapegoat to blame for last summers shambles, but who are they going to blame for this transfer window if it keeps going the way it is ?

First part in red: I’ll tell you why augie and this must now be the 4th or 5th time I’ve said it on here. He has no intention of permanently benching Havertz. If he were to buy the likes of Osimhen or Martinez, then even he wouldn’t be able to justify rotating them with Havertz. It might even be difficult with Gyokeres, although I suspect he would. With Sesko, a young guy who certainly hasn’t proved himself yet, the excuses for not starting him every game are built in….”he’s young, he has to adapt to the English game, with have to be patient and ease him in” blah blah blah.

The only way he can play a new striker and Havertz is to bench Odegaard and that ain’t happening either.

As for the second part in red: They’ll blame Berta, the Kroenkes, the ball boys, the bloke on the turnstile, the woman in the Armoury, the programme seller, you, me, anyone but “Mikel”.

So, cut price summer it is.....

Watkins in for 35m after Villa mug us because we are desperate and leave it too late

Radford joins on a free, but on 300k a week

5m Kepa in as backup keeper

Ben Chilwell also signs for nothing from Chelsea as cover for LB, in a 'buy one get one free' Chelsea clearance sale

Arsenal exit the window in a fantastic position for PSR and can spend up to 400m next summer

I'd be happy with Radford leading the line , he's a proven winner :D

Apparently Sesko (if he's to join us ) wants a release clause in his contract ,that says he can leave for just 20% more than what we might pay for him.

Everyone knows we need a striker. We have to buy one. So the price will have £20m added to it once we come knocking.
True...also think its the way we do buisness...other clubs already have players lined up....we dont do that
Basically they fuck around with nothing definite in mind... like the transfer window comes as some surprise to them...couple of players they are interested in, then think after all that they are too much or too old.....then wait till near the end of window and desperately try to sign anyone....its truly incredible how amaturish they are

Working on Sesko since last summer apparently and yet we're surprised at the fee Leipzig want.

13 years ago, replace wongas name and update the players to modern day and not a thing has changed, an utter shambles.

Just a theory and not a well thought out one but......how much blame could wonga take for the existing approach to transfers, have his years of penny pinching, signing utter bargain basement shite and only top top qualitee need apply nonsense been embedded into the club long after he's gone and now they cant get themselves out of the mindset?

Ask yourself if allegri had the transfer budget that the cone boy has at his disposal, would he be signing shite like zinchenko and xhaka ? :rubchin: The quality of players you try to sign in a transfer window is massively influenced by the funds you have available to spend, and ac milan will have a limited budget available.
I love when people try to bash a proven winner based on his current circumstances, but ignore the dipstick we have in charge who despite being financially backed more than any manager in our history, has still managed to accumulate shite like he portugese pussy, the german dud, the non scoring striker jesus and a captain that does a better disappearing act than casper the ghost

Heard Arsenal are in talks for a Nwaneri - Madueke swap deal. Genuinely. Not a wind up.

Arsenal have submitted a 6-year contract offer to Ajax defender Jorrel Hato (19).

Talks are progressing with both the player’s camp and Ajax. The versatile left-footed centre-back is now closer to Arsenal, with Chelsea trailing behind.

Estimated fee: €50m.

If this were to happen it would be as bad as the Cole Gallas transfer and for me an instant sackable.
