Re Leao, I know there’s a lot that can be said (apparently, I don’t want Italian football) for his lack of defensive work as a winger, but boy does he look silky on the ball. Upgrade from Martinelli who runs with his head down.

Again, I know compactions aren’t an accurate measure.

Again I will point to the fact that NO OTHER TOP CLUB (either here or in europe) seems to be interested in signing sesko, but big clubs are lining up to sign gyokeres. The latest club linked to the swede is the victims, and credit where credit is due, they are not hanging about and are getting their signings in the door early, so IF we do want gyokeres we need to move our arses or else he'll be in scouseland by end of the week and ringing verizon to upgrade his house security

sesko not the player we want....as for the 31 year old Brentford player ....signing not going to have anyone quaking in their boots but could be useful as a squad player....similar signing to merino whos never going to be top class

I'm with you all the way old friend, I've been wanting him gone for the last 3 years.

He's been with us for 5 fucking years and a disappointment since day fucking one. I knew nothing about him, but I remember all the crowing from loads of Gooners when we pissed of Atletico by triggering his 50 million release clause. Turns out we overpaid by about 30 million!!

I know I can be very cynical (I, of course, prefer to call it realistic ) but when you sign a bloke who is 27, who none of your top level competitors are interested in, it always raises the alarm for me. Seven years at Atletico and no hint of interest from RM or Barca. Now we know why. It also makes me nervous about Zubimendi tbh. Mind you, everything that the Arsenal does makes me nervous!

So, we now have Rice, Merino and probably Zubimendi and Norgaard for centre mid. It seems we have Kepa, so just one more GK to sign and a couple of LBs and that should be us done.
