ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Agreed Augie. The only thing I would say about the Gyokeres deal..... And I was as pissed off as anyone, is that there are some good journos who have said it is NOT about 3 or 4m here or there, it was about method and structure of payments. The fact that we're trying to get every deal in installments hopefully means we are still wanting to fund further signings, ie Eze or someone equally as good and creative!

Arsenal and Sporting CP now exchanging final documents for the transfer of Viktor Gyökeres.
Arsenal logistics team are preparing his medical. The Swede is on standby.
Gyökeres adamant he wants to be part of the pre-season. Followed strict individual training plan.
Patience were always masters of the situation.

Agreed , think we are structuring deals to get in what we want and not flout the rules. Need to sell a few now and get Eze in and I'll be happy.TeeCee wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 4:17 pmAgreed Augie. I was a Sesko fan boy from the get go but what’s got me waddling around the house all day doing the Gyokeres mask celebration with my pecker flopping all over the place is the constant reference to - “the player only wanted Arsenal”.
That’s the type of shit I can get on board with. Get the fuck in
Golden boot winner next season, you heard it here first.

Viktor Gyokeres will fly to Singapore for a medical, sources tell the Independent. The pair, Mosquera and Gyokores will not be able to feature in the friendly with AC Milan on Wednesday, but they could make their debuts against Newcastle on Sunday. [@Independent]

It's the Arsenal way of doing business![]()
If it’s a blackcurrant flavoured Chewit, then it’s a done deal. If not, you need throw in a packet of Spangles and half a pack of stale Garibaldi biscuits.![]()
Done!! It was the mouldy TUCs that swung it.

Once Gyökeres is signed and playing, there's no excuses now. The out and out goalscorer is what we've been missing. He's either the final clue in the longest treasure hunt we've ever had or he's the answer to any of the lingering doubts. The pressure is on now, there's no hiding place for Arteta or the players; no more 'we just need a goalscorer' or 'one or two players away' any more. It either works and win the league and Champions League with the most lethal goalscorer in Europe over the last two years or it doesn't and proves Arteta isn't the right manager to take us forward. Nothing but a league title will do now.

Agreed, if he gets Eze as well , he takes us finally over the line or he goes. He has three no 10s then , no excuses.Perryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 6:19 pmOnce Gyökeres is signed and playing, there's no excuses now. If there’s only enough cash for one more signing then it has to be the Martinelli upgrade.

Out and out 9 that is hungry for goals, won't be shy trying his luck with any sight of the goalposts and can shoot off both feet.
Just what we needed.
I believe the payments for all our signings so far even paying slightly above the release clause for Zubimendi mean we are trying to structure every transfer to enable room for others, we certainly need one more attacking signing Eze i'd be very happy with.
Can play left wing, 8 or 10.
Hopefully we can move a few on Jesus is injured, Zinchenko looks happy to ride the bench , Nelson, Vieira and Sambi we will get a combined few million in loans with options
.
I'd keep Kiwior but if a good offer comes in he may be sold.

Buddy, he is NOT the missing piece in the puzzle and will not make us a complete team, but what he will do is shine a spotlight on our attacking midfielder even more now cos there will be no more excuses for his lack of assists if he has a proper number 9 in front of him. There will be no escaping his slow releasing of passes if he has a striker making runs in behind but the passes not being released to him - Eze would complete this team for me, but I seen journo on sky suggesting that palace will probably sell eze or guehi this summer, but NOT BOTH
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Wouldn’t be so sure, especially if Palace stay in the lower European competition.augie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 9:02 pmPerryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 6:19 pmOnce Gyökeres is signed and playing, there's no excuses now. Having turned down £75m for Guehi last year he’s now in the final year of his contract and they’ll be lucky to get £35-40m now. Selling Eze for £60m is about the only way Palace can balance the books.
Arsenal know it and so do other clubs.

Gyökeres to get over 25 goals this coming season......think we will win either FA cup or League cup as well
Eze would be the icing on cake.....

Eze would make it one of the best windows in years. Just hope the club have it in them to go one step further regardless of sales.
