Going back to my criticism of the creative genius that is raya ( ), is the cone boy trying to tell us that raya is soooo good with the ball at his feet, that on our kick offs he is the best player we have to receive the ball and launch it downfield ???? I mean seriously all he is doing is hoofing the ball 60 yards down the pitch, and yet the cone boy has to bring this fuckwit 40 yards from his goals to do something that any of our players should be capable of doing To me it is just feeding into his bu!!shit that he is some sort of playmaker with the ball at his feet
Is that what Arteta said? If so, then he's clearly mis-spent a billion pounds.
Our kick off's yesterday involved raya standing 20-30 yards outside his penalty area, and whoever takes the kick off passes it back to him and he launches it downfield - it is as primitive/wimbledon style tactic as you will ever see, but my gripe is why we have to bring raya so far out of goal to hoof it down the field when any jackass could do it ? I mean it doesnt require (going by yesterday) a guy that can kick the ball 50 yards down the field right to his team-mates feet, so ffs get one of the back 4 to do it and send that cock back into his goals ffs
Ok augie, thanks.
It's a ridiculous practice and makes no sense. As you say, any defender is capable of lumping the ball up the pitch in a general direction.
As for the goal conceded against the scum, I decided to watch some brief highlights. What a disaster! About 30 yards out of his goal and plays a daft pass to MLS, who didn't help himself even though he was being closed down. Smart finish from Sarr, but self inflicted on our part. I doubt anything will change.
I know people say it was only a pre season "friendly", but it still stings to lose to that lot and from the little I saw and from the comments on here, the same old issues exist, regardless of new additions.
Raya did the exact same thing on 2 occasions last season, does the dullard never learn from HIS mistakes...
As far as I am concerned there never was and never will be a "Friendly" between us and those Cocksuckers! and I have to say I watched the whole game and for 80% of the game they were definitely treating it like a Non-Friendly Derby... Surely Captain Black should have known that and told our players to Kill These Cūnts....
Also MLS had 2 players coming in on him one from either side And 2 coming straight at him so there was nowhere for him to turn, go or pass... ALL down to Raya for me....
That new assistant Heinz is supposed to be the new defence coach, all I can say is even though it is pre-season our defence looked a fucking mess, as if they had never played together before...
Article on sky sports about Max Dowman. Confirms he can play in league or cup games from start of the season. He’d have to wait until he’s 16 before being eligible for champions league.
Interestingly the ex coach they speak to reckons no 8 is his best position.
I reckon he’ll get starts in the league cup so hope we can go far in that!

As thought - Dowman can play from the start of the season. So if you've got him, Madueke, Saka, Nwaneri, Martinelli and Odegaard, why the fuck sign Eze? Even if Martinelli leaves, that's too many. Whilst up front we have Gyokeres and Havertz. Go sign Watkins or someone else to give competition up front. He won't of course. As we always do we'll have one or two positions where we have too many options, and one or two where we have to play the same fucker week in, week out regardless of form and fitness

Why sign Eze ? Cos he is a MASSIVE upgrade on the disappearing captain Steve O that is why I am not against your thinking regarding a back up striker cos I too think havertz is shit, but my philosophy has always been to get a strong first 11 and then and only then, focus on your back up's - sadly as a club we continue to address squad depth before team quality, and this has gone on back to latter wenger years and shows no sign of changing. Reality for me is that even if we had a once in a lifetime miracle no injuries to first team players this season, this starting team is simply not good enough to win the league - imo there are a few question marks for sure, but it starts with our disappearing captain cos he simply will not create the amount of chances a top number 10 would and should create

Captain Invisble is here to stay - no matter what the pair of us think. Do you honestly think the manager is going to strip him of the captaincy (I would, you would) and drop him? That being the case I don't want Eze shoved out left wing. And also if you rate Nwaneri and Dowman as much as I do, when do you see either of them playing if we add Eze to Odegaard, Madueke, Saka, possibly still Martinelli etc. They'll be forced out on loan or worse

The rumours (IF true) say that AFC view Eze as a number 10 (so do I ) - personally I have my doubts, but I am hopeful.
I have said a zillion times on here that I would not have bought the chav reject (a) because I dont believe he is good enough and (b) I think his signing is the final nail in Nwanieri's AFC coffin - to me Nwanieri's talent level should have had him as back up to saka last season but somehow didnt, and now he has a chav reject who cost £52m and the brightest prospect to come out of the academy in years (Dowman) to compete with and imo that doesnt bode well for nwanieri. When we were linked with 2 strikers at the start of this summer, one of the arguments I made against sesko was that he would be a development project and we are in "win now" mode, and that is also my thinking in advocating buying Eze - I honestly think that if Eze stepped into ohdeargod's position we would have an outfield 10 (when everyone is fit) as good as any team in the league (I have my concerns about keeper) and I am saying that even if the victims sign isak, and imo our best chance of keeping the likes of saka and saliba is if they see us doing all we can to win now.
As you said earlier, we have a tendancy to overstock certain positions and neglect others - not likely to happen I know, but selling captain coward and trossard would put us in a much better state imo
I read somewhere, Arsenal see Ethan as a central midfielder not a winger
If so, do we need Odegaard, Eze and Nwaneri?!
I imagine a few would suggest getting rid of odegaard but I do not see that happening
You could also argue that an attacking central midfielder is Havertz more natural position too
I would venture that it's More then Just a Few mate.... Yes he has skills and can pick a pass (sometimes) but he seems to have believed his own earlier hype, he loses the ball more often than successfully releases / passes it...The ball comes out to him and the forward line are on their toes going forward and times I've seen him turn in endless circles before moving the ball forward, by which time the opportunity to genuinely attack has evaporated...
