The "WHOOOOSH" Thread !

Post by OneBardGooner »

Apologies DB... But knew if I put this in the Cannonballlls no one would see it:

If anyone has Drogon TV they are showing the Concert LIVE in it's entirety (in the same way the Beeb show Glastonbury Live!)

Anthrax are on

ROCKING!

The all-day Back to the Beginning event at Villa Park in Birmingham on Saturday will feature Metallica, Slayer, Halestorm, Lamb Of God, Anthrax and Mastodon among many others. Metallica were quick to post a photo of lead singer James Hetfield on what has become the iconic Black Sabbath Bridge

How it feels when you’re ten pints deep and Uncle Ahmed chucks in a little extra chicken and burger sauce on your kebab.

It was TRULY Sad to see Ozzy unable to stand on his own... He did his Solo stint sat in some kind of Black Leather Throne...

Metallica were Excellent... some other good Mixed Bands of Famous players etc were Okay. Gun's & Roses were Awful... Axl wotsit & Slash barely acknowledging one another... Sabbath only did 4 / 5 songs... sad to see again. I know we're all getting older or ARE Old but fuck me some of the states on some.... Aerosmith's Steve Tyler was like a skeleton dressed in saggy flesh..  ... But one of the 'Mix' bands with him singing did an epic version of 'Walk This Way'...

Still All Proceeds to Very Good Causes... (Tickets were from £2,000 VIP part down to £200.. with the Prolls)

I'm just glad I saw Sabbath when they were (also) Young and at their peak... :barscarf:

There are loads of Fan Video's on You Tube of the various acts but all done on Mobile Phones.. so the film & sound quality is very poor..

Black Sabbath went out with a bang on Saturday night at what the band said would be its final gig.

As they played one of their most-recognisable songs, Iron Man, fans sang along with lead singer Ozzy Osbourne at Villa Park in Birmingham.

Ozzy, 76, who has Parkinson's disease, sang while seated on a black throne - encouraging the crowd to sing louder, and pulling wild-eyed looks, just like old times.

No worries OneBard mate. I'll leave it here for a few days and then move it to the basement.

Been a Sabs fan since I was a kid. Loved both versions, Ozzy and RJD. Even liked Gillen with them!!

And I absolutely loved the two Ozzy albums with Randy Rhoads and the the two with Jake E Lee - two of my favourite guitarists and massive influences on my own playing.

Apologies peeps as I know this thread might be getting in the way of the various Footie Threads, but just needed to add this 'Link' Before DB moves the thread to the Cannons (aka: The Dungeon).

It is a 20 minute 'Tribute to Ozzy' done by the BBC:

BBC Announce a One Off Documentary Story on Ozzy & His Family:

Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home – BBC announces details of brand-new one-off documentary

The one-hour film for BBC iPlayer and BBC One will air on Monday 18 August at 9pm

On Saturday 5 July, against all the odds, Ozzy Osbourne made it onto the stage one last time to perform a homecoming gig: a set with his own band and then a finale with Black Sabbath in Birmingham. The performance was classic Ozzy: defiant, mischievous, giving the fans what they want.

Just over two weeks later, surrounded by his family, Ozzy died at home.

Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home is the moving and inspirational account of the last chapter of Ozzy’s life, told through unique and intimate access to the whole Osbourne family, including Sharon, Jack and Kelly. Filmed over three years, it captures the extraordinary roller-coaster of their lives as Sharon and Ozzy attempt to complete their long-held dream of moving back to the UK, Ozzy heroically battles to get fit enough to perform, and the family deal with the dramatic consequences of his ill-health.

The film is full of love, laughter and tears and the kind of unforgettable family moments that we’ve come to expect from the Osbournes. It’s a remarkably candid and uplifting tribute to one of the world’s true icons, and documents the first family of rock as they are forced to accept, that, as Kelly says in the film, “Iron man wasn’t really made of iron”.

Clare Sillery, BBC Head of Commissioning, Documentaries, says: “We are honoured to have had the opportunity to film with Ozzy and his family. The film captures an intimate glimpse into their journey as they prepare to return to the UK. It features family moments, humour, reflection and shows the enduring spirit that made Ozzy a global icon. We hope it brings comfort and joy to Ozzy’s fans and viewers as they remember and celebrate his extraordinary life.”

Ben Wicks and Colin Barr, Executive Producers at Expectation, say: “It was an incredible privilege to spend the last few years with Ozzy, as well as Sharon, Jack and Kelly. Ozzy wanted to make it back to the UK and appear on stage one last time - our film is an inspiring and poignant account of him fulfilling that dream. Ozzy was loved by millions around the world not just for his music, but for his sense of mischief and his honesty all of which we saw plenty of in the final years of his life. But one thing shone through even more brightly to us, and that was Ozzy’s intense love for his exceptional family who were by his side through it all.”

Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home (1x60) is produced by Expectation in association with JOKS Productions Limited for BBC One and iPlayer. It was commissioned by Clare Sillery, BBC Head of Commissioning, Documentaries. The BBC Commissioning Editor is Carl Callam. Executive Producers for Expectation are Ben Wicks, Colin Barr, Rachael Barnes, and Louisa McKay. The documentary is being distributed internationally by Banijay Rights.

Originally conceived as a series, Home to Roost, announced in 2022, the project evolved as Ozzy’s health deteriorated into a one-hour film Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home.

I think I'll be giving this a miss. The thought of an hour of "how wonderful Sharon is" makes me sick because Sharon is a cùnt that ripped off almost every talented musician that made Ozzy what he was; Kerslake, Daisley, Jake E Lee, Sarzo, Aldridge, Gus G, Castillo, the list goes on and on.

Take a look at the writing credits for Bark At The Moon as an example: "all songs written by Ozzy Osbourne". To this day the two musicians that wrote those songs have never been paid their royalties: Jake E Lee and Bob Daisley. Bob Daisley wrote all of the lyrics on that album. Ozzy's contribution was "the odd melody line here and there".

Yet to this day Sharon, cùnt of cùnts, won't allow the credits to be corrected and the royalties to be paid. Fuck her. :censored:

I didn't know that; I mean about the Royalties thing that is just Wrong on every level, in fact it is nothing less than Theft.

I know she is / was Don Arden's daughter and he was a "Gangster and a Well Nasty Cũnt". The thing is Ozzy love him was Not a musician... Singer!? Yes, but as far as I know in Sabbath Toni Iommi did the music, Geezer Butler did all the Lyrics (sometimes Bill Ward - who had a good voice btw) and music also and they would present it to Ozzy to literally sing over the top with a melody he had been given, so I should have guessed that whilst he did come up with lyrics for some songs...like Crazy Train... it was always the musicians in the band; like Randy Rhoads & Rudi Sarzo who composed the music.

That is just wrong and sad to know....simply because besides her being a Thieving Cũnt, Ozzy must have also known.
