Arsenal v WBA Official Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I support the team, sing, shout and get behind the lads as much as possible, but still think he's a crunt. Should I therefore be bombed as well?

Well it's right though. Ok people are allowed there opinions, and a joke, but encouraging terrorists to bomb our home coz people wanted to boo greedybayor. Where i was sitting they started the "give him the ball" chant. About 10 people around me booed them. I didnt sing the chant because for 1,he dont always score and 2,the ongoings in the summer. So does that mean you want a terrorist to bomb me?

Just a pathetic comment. I wont go on,coz il get annoyed and probably banned

Jeeysus, it was an over reaction. I agree, he is frustrating as fuck, but booing him angers me greatly.

The reason people boo is because they supposedly believe he wanted away, and they are hurt. The fact remains though the man never came out and said he wanted to leave the club. Yes he is greedy, but 80% of those that attended the game on Saturday are also.

The point is the comment about bombing....not even a small bit funny. I disagree with booing Ade and any other (Eboue) players. But that was a stupid, sick comment to make!!!

It is important that ade works hard, which he generally does, especially if your partner is a lazy fucker like RvP, who gets paid a fortune to play 15 games a season, stroll around the pitch like he owns it and not get a fucking word said against him.

Yes, maybe a foolish comment to make but let's leave it there and move on. I'm sure it just a case of somebody choosing the wrong way to express themselves so let's not crucify them for one mistake.

It was a stupid and attention seeking way to put it. My point was, i would prefer this scum to avoid attending our matches.

Osama is a gooner
and even though the finsbury park mosque has been reclaimed by its original sensible parishoners (not sure of correct nomenclature)
after a being taken over by some loons for quite some time,
hopefully some of the afore mentioned loons retain a soft spot in their hearts for their radicalisation alma mater,
I think we're pretty safe from al quaeda
(dumb comment ntl)

I'm pleased with our first game
not the greatest performance but djourou impressive which was probably even more important than nasris debut
a tight 1-0 makes it clear there's work to do
but its 3 points

When you say that though, your talking about Gooners that have been going for 20 years or so. I personally didnt boo coz it can de-moralise the team and a player. I just think people are being abit picky,if they want to boo, then they can, there showing there anger at his antics over the summer,NOT the players qualities IMO

the point is that only idiots would boo their own player in the first game of the season because he didn't pass the ball.

Actually, idiots isn't even strong enough a word. I was so fucking angry when it happened, I couldn't believe it. I felt ashamed of the people that are allegedly supporting the same club as me.

But then again, what can you expect from people that leave the game 10 minutes before the end. Absolutely embarrassing.
