I am happy with Adebayor at the club, 30 goals is 30 goals,
just not pleased with the way his agent conducted his business in the summer.
I think that's almost passing the buck somewhat...Ade's agent works for Ade, and not the other way round...therefore, the agent is merely a mouthpiece for what Ade wants.
I'm glad he stayed, and I really don't hold a grudge against him....but the whole situation was engineered by Ade, not his agent. If Ade wasn't happy with his agents conduct he would have fired him...unless Ade's phone really was off

I have no doubt Ade asked his agent to get him higher wages...and I have no doubt the agent was happy to do that, especially if he is on a percentage of Ade's wages.
The way the situation was handled smacked of an amateurish agent trying his hand at media manipulation, rather than Ade himself.
I acknowledge that Ade did give contradictory interviews to Sky on that day he was at Euro 2008 for the Adidas promotion..one minute he was all smiles and staying, within the hour he would not confirm he would stay!
IHH will not like me saying this, but Myles Palmer (whom IHH does not rate as a writer) reckoned that Ade's agent called him in between those two interviews and said, "Ade, what are you up to! I am trying to get Arsenal to give you a raise by saying you are likely to be off, why are you saying you are staying?"
Ade is a grown man and he has to take responsibility, and I do feel he has disrespected the club and fans...but more by being employing an amateurish PR man and by naievity, rather than malice.
I am prepared to be charitable to him...guess having met him I am a bit biased...but when I met him he was doing his shopping with a couple of mates, yet he was polite, humble and happily chatted to me about the new season.
Some players might have been less courteous, and it made a good impression on me.
