Fulham v Arsenal Official Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Totally agree with 3 of your 4 points,I just think Nasri
will prove to be a good player that will score more that Hleb
ever did.Gallas was at fault for the goal and since joining us
has very rarely looked like the"world class defender"he was
supposed to have been at Chelski.
I feel sorry for Theo,he was bought on the strength of a dozen
or so games in the Championship as a forward that used blistering
pace to get in behind defences, not as a wide man having to beat
full backs and "pick out the right ball" as Stewart Robson keeps
saying on AFC TV.
As for Flamini,I was never his greatest fan but bloody hell did we
miss him today!!

This would have been my team tonight with the players we had available and the team we were playing which offered no threat up front what so ever!!!

Almunia

Sagna
Gallas
Clichy

Eboue - right side
Toure - as the defensive midfielder
Denilson -
Nasri - on the left

Walcott - just behind the front two in a central striking role

Ade
Robin

In these sort of games we can afford the luxury of playing a back three. Kolo could have played just ahead of Gallas as the defensive midfielder allowing Denilson a more free role as he looked like a scared animal looking for a way out
and Theo playing in the centre doing what he does best..running at defenders..
Just athought...take it or leave it!!!

It's not too harsh - it's not as if he hasn't played before. He's has the potential...he's not ready...FINE, OK, THEN DON'T PLAY HIM!
I'm saying the boy's a kid and realistically can't be expected to compete against experienced and physically superior opponents- agreed he shouldn't be starting league games regulary but that ain't his fault he's not gonna turn to Wenger and say "Boss, I shouldn't be playing you need to buy someone else"
I'm sick of hearing about potential and not being ready.

He deserves to be judged on the basis of where we is playing and who he is playing for.

I'm not saying it's his fault that he gets picked - it's his fault he couldn't find team mates with basic passes and was swept off the ball by, lets face it, a not so overwhelming midfield of murphy and bullard.

Not exactly like playing against ballack and essien is it?

I'll pass on that too - I feel sorry for those players played out of position but sometimes you have to get into the game and overcome those odds to show how great you can be.

Anyone remember how Flamini played at left-back?

All I am saying is that these sort of games should allow us to change our formation abit...because this formation simply does not work...even sp**rs would have turned us over tonight!!!

The best thing about today was the boat journey :barscarf:

I had a crap view right down in the corner didn't even see the goal. Best view was of Bendtner warming up.

Sunderland for the title then

i was listening to the *word censored* on the radio WHICH WAS LITERALLY ABOUT A MINUTE OR TWO BEHIND, so whenever the helpful exiledinbrum gave us live updates, i knew what was coming, the commentator's voice got quicker and excited whenever we get a chance or come close to scoring, he did that a few times and i knew it would end in that dissapointed tone. i say it was the radio it was on bbc sport live audio, imagine if we scored, instead of me jumping up and cheering in unison with all the rest of the gooners, a goal goes in, ten minutes later the radio gets to the goal and i jump up out on sync.
