Appreciate the advice and ill weigh up my options. Die for arsenal or say at home for my dad (whos a tottenham fan) haha. we will see
See what sportops have to offer. I can highly recommend them - they know there stuff.

What it will do is most likely mean that you won't get so much hassle from the locals but you'll get plenty from the police! Personally I wouldn't go to Turkey after what I saw in Copenhagen against Galatasaray but good luck!!

I went to Kiev and it's fantastic - you will never see so many beautiful girls anywhere else in the world! They are stunning. Beers are really cheap if you avoid the strip bars, go in those and you'll be ripped off big time.
I'm hoping to go to the Porto game myself, haven't been there before.
Went to Porto when we last played them two years ago and it was amazing. Mind you im boring and enjoy the culture and architecture lol. Amazing fans, incredibly loud atmosphere, and the fans are so nice to visiting teams. Everyone had an amazing time last time around. Perosnally Im gonna go to Porto this year defo and hopefully Fenerbache. Be warned their fans are incredibly intimidating to the average man and will make trouble if you hint at it but if you act sensibly and dont wear your colours outside the ground you will get minimum hassle. Im sad to say our female section are in for more stick than us. The turksih have a disgraceful attitude towards foreign women

They do,been on holiday to tirkey and it stinks towards women. The madrid police were also CRUNTS to our female following.

Was going to do all 3 trips but kiev is too close and the cheapest flight i found was £280 return. Fenerbache i found £137 cheapest return. Porto will be cheap so no worries there, but airways have put prices up already. Them crunts aint stupid are they

I spent a month living in Taxim (Istanbul) the place where the fans got stabbed.
Its real bad out there and the chances of something bad happening compared to other countries are very high.
Its not press talk or just hyped up it really is bad. Fanatical fans who want to show how hard they are and make the West Ham ICF of the 80s look like school children.
Mind you dont let me put you off.

Right iv been speaking to a mate,he's a rep in Turkey and i dont know how true this is. But basically Galatasary are ready for us,so gooners could be caught up in some serious bother with both sets of fans. Like i said i dont no how true this is but he works out there and he said be careful if your travelling out there. At the end of the day were going for a football match, and i wont be phased by it,the atmosphere is intensly intimidating aswel apparenly, but i think we all knew that. Just thought id pass on a message :) and il keep it updated if he tells me more.

Yes there is very dangerous, so you guys travelling there stay on groups and dont expose your self too mutch, because u might get in an uncivilized trouble, i'm talking more uncivilized than in my place.

I might go this time to watch Arsenal live for the first and maybe the only time in my life, but i will be very careful.

I was always under the impression that Fene fans weren't too bad. Passionate & Intimidating - yes, Come looking for you for no reason - No.
As someone has previosly said though, we have a little bit of previous with Gala-slash-aray and there a proper nasty bunch so that could be a different matter altogether.....

I love istanbul, dunno if I'm gonna be able to make it
but those scare stories all sound way over the top to me
didnt have any probs at all in istanbul in general didnt feel unsafe at any point
went all over the place and did a lot of partying
did not go to a match though
