Th Wonder of You

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Wonder Of Poo is the worst thing to happen to us, since we lost to a Third Division club in the League Cup Final.

It's a total embarassment.

Fucking hate it.

And it stops our fans from singing and chanting, when the team comes on to the pitch.

One of the worst ideas known to man. Ranks alongside Asbestos and DDT.

It's too laid back, easy listening bollocks. The last time I went to Charlton which if my facts are right was the season before they went down they played Into The Valley by The Skids and I was impressed. A classic from 1979. With our young players we could have something along those lines with If The Kids Are United by Sham 69.

Theres enough of gooners the music business - the club should get a couple of them to write a really thumping rock number and use that.

Failing that , then Amhran Na bhFiann ...... :) :)

If we had someone to write the greatest anthem in the world our fans still would not sing it.And thats the truth. The supporters we get through the gates at AG are a bunch of thearte go-ers who want to watch football in silence.

We have to except it now are fans Dont sing, turn up late and leave early.Fucking Wankers

An anthem comes from your history and is not mde up to suit.

Generations to come will believe that fat yank Elvis was a gooner and will be ashamed.

Mr Lydon and family are all gooners so how about, Anrachy In The UK, Pretty Vacant or God Save The Queen
PS. Anyone seen Lydon's rant about the new ground and the new badge on the Sex Pistols dvd that came out a few months back? Classic stuff from him

It's tradition for us to play shit songs when we lead out. I remember us playing the theme tune to the "A Team" in the 80s. Now, that was 'yank crap' at its best and fucking embarrassing too

When no-one else can understand me
When everything I do is wrong
You give me hope and consolation
You give me strength to carry on

And you’re always there to lend a hand
In everything I do
That’s the wonder
The wonder of you

And when you smile the world is brighter
You touch my hand and I’m a king
Your kiss to me is worth a fortune
Your love for me is everything

Ill guess I’ll never know the reason why
You love me like you do
That’s the wonder
The wonder of you

propably the non-best song of all-time but not worst at all! yesterday night at 1:30 after moijtos, tequilas, heinekens, italian red wine chianti..it sounds good 8)

The Arsenal fans in the music industry have their own supporters group, they had a drink up in Paris in 2006.

They did make an album, I bought it, was ok...I liked the Rodney P track.

Arsenal America ran a story on it before it got released.

I would be happy to see a new song made, provided it was upbeat and easy to sing along to.
