slightly off topic. but does anyone remember a tackle that tony adams made against dynamo kiev or someone years ago.
where he slide in and got the ball the stood up still with the ball and passed it.
it never seems to get mentioned but i still remember it so well. i wish i could find a clip on youtube

Remember it well, at the time the press compared it to Bobby Moores tackle on Pele...doesn't really get a mention anymore but that's without a doubt one of the best tackles I've seen.thegrovegooner wrote:slightly off topic. but does anyone remember a tackle that tony adams made against dynamo kiev or someone years ago.

As for Fabianskis save, I don't think it's quite as good as Seamans save but it was a hell of a save....like someone else said, could you imagine if he'd done it in the closing minutes of injury time against Man Utd on Saturday. He would have been regarded as a hero at Arsenal already.

Deffo Seamo; ball came in at point blank range, Seamo had to re-adjust his direction of dive, throw his hand at a ball that had paased him by and propel the ball back out, all in one swift move, in a split second - the fucking strength in that arm was amazing. Best save ever IMHO.SPUDMASHER wrote:Na, Seaman against Sheff Utd. The ball had already passed him and he scraped it back off the line in mid air. Best save I've ever seen, including the one by Banks.

I bet Rebels right arm will be like that when he gets back. After all, he'll have had to have something to fill his time during his exile.DB10GOONER wrote:Deffo Seamo; ball came in at point blank range, Seamo had to re-adjust his direction of dive, throw his hand at a ball that had paased him by and propel the ball back out, all in one swift move, in a split second - the fucking strength in that arm was amazing.
